AKM (Asahi) Hall Element Magnetic Sensors enable isolated non-contact measurement of linear and angle position, and of electric current. For mechanical position measurement the AKM Magnetic Sensors are used in combination with small permanent magnets to provide very high reliability and long life. By enabling the sensor to be sealed and isolated from the moving component the effects of contamination and friction are reduced. Electric currents produce a magnetic field with magnitude proportional to the electric current. Measurement of the magnetic field using AKM Magnetic Sensors enables the implementation of accurate electric current measurement with high voltage isolation, lower power loss and high signal to noise ratio compared to using current sense resistors. AKM Hall Element Magnetic Sensors feature high sensitivity and stability and are offered in a wide range of package types to meet different application requirements. 

Sentron - Single-Axis Hall-Effect Magnetic Field Sensor

The Sentron CSA-1VG is a single-axis Hall-effect magnetic field sensor IC that has been optimized for AC and DC current measurement applications. The current sensor is fabricated using conventional CMOS technology with an additional ferromagnetic layer. The ferromagnetic layer is used as an Integrated Magnetic Concentrator (IMC) to provide a higher magnetic gain than would be normally possible. Therefore, the circuit boasts very high magnetic sensitivity with low offset and noise.
