Flame Photometer Range
Sherwood - Flame Photometer
Five element (Na, K, Li, Ca, Ba)Single channel Flame Photometer Ergonomic design with front loading, unobstructed sample work area, with removable tray for easy cleaning. With ease of use resulting from auto ignition and flame optimisation.Peak picker for presenting unambiguous readings and selected filter indicator. Safety features including fail safe flame detection and shut offHigh sensitivity with fine manual control of air, and stable flame design. And ease of maintenance and storage. Separate pneumatic and electronic podsSmall footprint (20 x 30cm). Easy to remove and clean filter stick.
Sherwood - Single Channel Classic, Industrial and Clinical Flame Photometer Range
All three Model 410 Flame Photometers come with a preloaded filter stick which houses a maximum of three element filters. The filter stick is easily removed and replaced within the chimney housing (no tools required) and as such it is a relatively simple operation to introduce alternative element specific filters. Filters available for use with all the Model 410`s include:Sodium, Potassium, Lithium, Calcium, Barium, Strontium, Rubidium and Cesium; the most extensive range available from any Flame Photometer manufacturer.
Sherwood - Dual Channel Flame Photometer Range
The Model 420 Clinical Flame Photometer was developed from the Single Channel Model 410 Flame Photometer, with the objective of improving productivity and analytical performance, when measuring Sodium and Potassium. It is available in Clinical (475 42 000) or Industrial (475 42 100) format with appropriate NIST traceable calibration solution concentrates.
Sherwood - Flame Photometer
The Model 420Cs is the latest addition to our dual channel Flame Photometer range. Based on the Model 420 Flame Photometer, the M420Cs adds greater flexibility and also benefits from recent improvements to stability (precision) available on all of the Sherwood 420 Series and 410 Series of Flame Photometers since January 2017.
Sherwood - Clinical Flame Photometer
The Clinical Model 360 Flame Photometer offers a "linearised" response when the Sodium filter is selected; in keeping with expectations of Clinical Flame Photometers. A few operational conditions have to be observed if the instrument is to deliver results within the specification.
Chloride Analyzer
Sherwood - Chloride Analyzer
The Sherwood Model 926 is used for the determination of chloride ions. It is an instrumental analogue of `Argentimetry`, the traditional titrimetric methods using silver nitrate reagent. Like these classic methods it relies on the chemical formation of the very insoluble salt, silver chloride. The importance of chloride determination has been realized for well over a century, with many variations and changes being made to the techniques in order to improve the detectability and selectivity. Research into the analysis of chloride was conducted by Gay-Lussac (1832), Levol (1853), Mohr (1856) and Volhard(1874) and their findings have proven to be the basis of the methods which are still in common use today.
Colorimeters
Sherwood Chroma - Programmable Colorimeter
The basic design of Sherwood Scientific`s CHROMA Colorimeters has been stable for several years and they have gained an enviable world-wide reputation for rugged performance. For the 21st century, Sherwood Scientific updated its Colorimeters and added a software package unique in this class of instrument. The Model 260 Series Colorimeters offer features not elsewhere available and provide solutions to the requirements of quality control, water testing and also the clinical chemist with low sample runs. Both Models can be powered from a 12V car battery so can be utilised in locations where the power supply cannot always be relied upon.
Flame Photometer Accessories
Sherwood - Autosampler
The Models 420 and 425 Flame Photometers were designed to interface bi-directionally with the Model 860 Autosampler, control sits in the Flame Photometer. They also work via 420 Bluenotes with the M860 Autosampler. The Model 410 Flame Photometers require a Digital Interface and 410 Bluenotes Software to run with the M860 Autosampler.
