Auxiliary Plating Equipment
SIFCO - Turning Head
The SIFCO Process Model N Turning Head will provide years of trouble-free service as a light to medium duty rotating device. The turning head consists of a heavy-duty steel base, supporting a speed control and gear motor assembly with a drive bearing-mounted shaft, grounding bar and chuck. A power takeoff on the motor can be used to drive a Rotary Tool Handle or grinding accessory. Attaching the ROTO-FLO Flexible Shaft to the chuck allows to plate a vide range of ID surfaces. The right angle gearbox is coupled to a shaft supported by two sealed, heavy-duty, self-aligning pillow block type bearings. These bearings are equipped with convenient grease fittings to aid in the maintenance of the unit. A quality steel chuck is attached to a stainless steel back plate mounted on the shaft. This 3 jaw chuck comes complete with internal and external jaws, and a chuck wrench.
SIFCO - Process Tank Silver Platers
The SIFCO Process Tank Silver Platers are primarily intended for silver plating steam valve seal rings, but they may also be used to silver plate other parts. Both tanks are made from chemical-resistant polypropylene. All other components are made of plastic, stainless steel, or plastic coated steel to minimize corrosion problems. The 57 liter unit also includes a pump to circulate solution and a 254 mm (10 in.) cartridge filter system.
SIFCO - Variable Speed ID Plater
ID Plater Variable Speed, 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Travel Kits
SIFCO Cadmium LHE - No Bake Touch-Up Travel Kit
SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts introduces a highly portable cadmium touch-up kit for repair applications. The kit, specifically designed for the aerospace industry, is ideal for cadmium touch-up services and AOG operations where repair times are critical. This kit features the maximum amount of cadmium solutions allowed for shipment via commercial and private ground carriers.
Selective Plating Products
SIFCO - Process Rotary Tool
The SIFCO Process Rotary Tool has been designed to mechanize plating operations and decrease the process time when plating blind holes and small diameters ranging in size from approximately 1.5 mm to 38 mm (0.06 in. to 1.5 in). This system reduces the operator fatigue when a plating tool must be moved by hand. The SIFCO Process Rotary Tool has been designed specifically for small-sized plating jobs requiring 30 amp or less of plating current.

SIFCO - Custom Designed Turnkey Plating Systems
SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts specializes in designing custom systems for electroplating or anodizing localized areas on conductive components of various sizes. By providing turnkey operations, these systems can be easily integrated into production lines, eliminating shipping costs and scheduling issues tied to outside vendors. The plating systems offer controlled and consistent quality deposits with minimal operator involvement. Typical setups include preparatory operations like fixturing, masking, and motion, tailored to meet specific production goals. Unlike traditional tank plating which requires large chemical volumes, these systems use brush plating technology, significantly reducing solution volumes. The self-contained design minimizes environmental and safety concerns. The company collaborates closely with clients to gather technical information, define needs and objectives, and generate budgetary proposals. With a Technical Support Group boasting over 25 years of industry experience, SIFCO ensures the successful execution of projects from multiple locations across the US, UK, France, and Sweden.
SIFCO Process - Selective Plating Kits
SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts provides specialized electroplating kits designed for critical brush plating repairs across various industries. These kits focus on localized metal surface repairs, ensuring quick maintenance and repair of OEM components. They include solutions for emergency touch-up applications using Cadmium and Zinc-Nickel for aerospace components and Silver Non-Cyanide for power generation parts. The kits are essential for minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency. Specifically designed for AOG operations, the kits feature the maximum amount of cadmium and zinc-nickel solutions allowed for shipment via commercial and private ground carriers. They also offer nickel plating options for standard selective plating processes. In addition, there is an aluminum add-on kit that extends the capability of the Silver Non-Cyanide kit, enabling repairs on aluminum bus connections. The main benefit of these kits is rapid response to outages, thus minimizing operational disruption and potential revenue loss.
SIFCO - TechnoPlate Electrode Positioning Power Pack for Selective Plating
The TechnoPlate power pack is designed to enhance the quality, flexibility, and safety of selective plating operations. It was developed over two years with feedback from both technicians and customers, ensuring it meets modern requirements for traceability and consistency. Key features include portability, making it 30% lighter than previous models with a comfortable handle for easy mobility. It offers high flexibility with a keypad and dials to adjust volts and amps, along with an optional detachable controller for use up to 10 feet away. The unit allows for storing up to 99 steps, simplifying the process for repeat jobs by eliminating the need to adjust parameters continually. Safety is prioritized with built-in overload protection to prevent damage to components. It`s available in a range of sizes, including advanced 300 and 500 amp models, suitable for various industrial applications where reliability and consistency in selective plating are crucial.
