SIGHT-PIPE - Depth Gages for Visual Inspection
SIGHT-PIPE Depth Gages are specialized tools designed for accurately measuring longitudinal depth dimensions within machined bores or cavities. These gages are equipped with a Gage Dot pattern that corresponds to the specific application tolerance, offering a visual method for checking if a characteristic dimension is within or outside tolerance limits. The system employs a magnified projection of the Gage Dots and the inspected characteristic edge on the enlarged head, providing clarity in assessment. A characteristic is considered within tolerance if it appears tangent to or situated between the Gage Dots, while it is regarded as out of tolerance if passing through them. Designed with various styles, from Style A for tolerances as tight as +/- 0.010 inches to high-accuracy versions accommodating tolerances as small as +/- 0.001 inches. These gages come with customizable features, including lighting and magnification solutions, to suit diverse inspection needs.
