SWS (Sour Water Stripping) consists of a fractionating tower which mainly removes hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3) along with some mercaptans, aromatics and also phenols from sour water before conveying it to the waste water treatment. Sour water comes from many sources such as catalytic cracking units, hydrocrackers, flare seal drums, etc. Normally, refinery SWS are designed for a feed concentration in the range of 500 to 15000 ppmw of both NH3 and H2S. The molar ratio of NH3 to H2S is generally in the range of 0.75 to 2, and averages to about 1.2. The pH ranges commonly from 7 to 9.3. We have also designed SWS with innovative process schemes in order to cut the technology edge of SWS.

Over the past 40 years, we have gained considerable experience in designing stick-built plants, skid-mounted and modular packages, special process equipment in the field of oil and gas treatment, sulphur recovery and acid gas removal.

With a record of 150 sulphur recovery plants, most of which are based on our own technologies, we can provide our customers with tailored solutions, either air-Claus or air oxygen-enriched Claus, tail gas treatment (trade marked as HCR) and our own sulphur degassing process. Our plants are able to deliver a sulphur recovery efficiency as much as 99.9+%.

Gas-liquid separation is a basic step of each oil & gas process unit with the important purpose of segregating liquid and gas streams for further processing or recovery or for protecting the process media and equipment treating the process gas.

NGLs and LPGs, made up of C2, C3, C4 and C5+ hydrocarbons, are a valuable fraction of natural gas and associated gas streams and can be used both in Petrochemical Industry (mostly C2 and C3) or as fuel in civil and industrial applications (mostly LPGs).
