Simon Carves offers a range of construction services, including: Project Management, Construction Management, Commissioning, Start-Up Support, Oversight & Analysis. A wholly owned subsidiary of PL Engineering and part of the Punj Lloyd Group, we have access to global resources and can draw upon a pool of more than 1,000 construction professionals and a direct-hire construction workforce of over 25,000.

Simon Carves offers Engineering Support to Procurement Activities including: Material Requisition Preparation, Vendor KO meetings, Technical Bid Analysis, Commercial Bid Analysis, Purchase Order Preparation, Vendor Expediting, Document Control, Engineering Attendance at Inspections. We also offer Order of Magnitude Estimating during Front End development work. As part of the Punj Lloyd Group, we have access to global resources which allows us to provide these procurement services on a global scale. We aim to maintain long-standing relationships with our vendors and suppliers, which results in reliable procurement services.

Simon Carves provides world-class engineering solutions to a global client base and has a long history of designing and developing process plants for the production of fuels, chemicals and polymers. With core technical skills focused around the development and design of varying processes, we continually embrace new technologies and innovative project methodologies which have contributed to our success in this field.

Simon Carves recognise that while the traditional contractor’s role ends at start-up, our clients’ facilities require on-going support, maintenance and upgrades to maximise the value of their assets. We also aim to add value through the provision of our extensive experience and understanding in certain specialist areas. Currently, we are engaged in various Master Services Agreements where we provide on demand engineering support and design consultancy to our clients. In some instances these arrangements have been running for more than ten years.

Stemming from the broad background and experience profiles of our specialist personnel, Simon Carves possess specialist advice and consultancy services gained from our experience that ordinary contractors do not have. These include: Hazard Identification and assessment through; Hazard Studies, HAZOPs, LoPA and SIL. Fire & Explosion engineering (ATEX, DSEAR), Hazardous area classification (BS60079.10), COMAH, IPPC and HSE safety case preparation, Functional Safety Systems (EN 61508 / 61511), Expert Witness Services, FEA Analysis.
