Fluorescence
SITA - Model CleanoSpector - Handheld Device for Contactless Cleanliness Inspection
The SITA CleanoSpector is a handheld device designed for the contactless cleanliness inspection of parts' surfaces. It is essential for maintaining product quality in follow-up processes like adhesive bonding, coating, welding, and hardening by detecting unwanted film contaminants such as oils, greases, cooling lubricants, and release agents. The device operates on the principle of fluorescence, where UV light is radiated onto the surface, causing contamination to fluoresce. The intensity of the fluorescence, measured in Relative Fluorescence Units (RFU), correlates with the layer thickness of the contamination. A lower RFU denotes cleaner surfaces. The SITA CleanoSpector is user-friendly and can be integrated directly into the manufacturing process for real-time quality assurance. Optional software, SITA-ProcessLog, provides convenient access to all functionalities and data on a PC. Various accessories for contact-free measurement and device maintenance are available to complement this instrument.
Contact Angle
SITA - Model SurfaSpector - Contact Angle Measurement Device
The SITA SurfaSpector is designed for rapid and straightforward testing of the wettability of metal, glass, and plastic surfaces, typically after surface pre-treatment or cleaning processes. The device employs an automatic dosing unit to precisely position a drop of liquid onto the surface. Illuminated from the side, the drop casts a shadow onto an inclined measuring surface, which is captured by a high-resolution camera and corrected for perspective distortions. This process enables accurate determination and calculation of the contact angle, indicating the degree of wetting from complete wetting at angles near 0° to hydrophobic conditions at angles above 90°. The SITA SurfaSpector is particularly valuable in quality assurance and process optimization, ensuring consistency in surface treatment across various industrial applications.
