Optimal acoustic and mechanical design to guarantee high level performance – up to 70 dB (A) noise attenuation – in extremely safe conditions.

Optimal acoustic performance – up to 40 dB (A) noise attenuation – with minimal pressure drop between silencer and valve in extremely safe conditions. Inline silencers (LD type) are used to attenuate noise produced by gas expansion at a valve level and by the radiated noise from downstream piping system. A combined inline silencer with a valve allows an optimal distribution of the pressure drop improving the efficiency of the system.

With over 40 years of experience in ventilated acoustic enclosure, SAI has been an innovative pioneer in designing soundproof ventilated technology for large machines up to 450MW. Those machines required very large enclosures made of different components: a frame structure, roof and wall panels for acoustic treatment and a ventilation system allowing evacuation of gas pocket and calories in order to meet international norms. Such enclosures are delivered as a kit of elements assembled on site.

More than 300 complete exhaust systems have been designed, fabricated and installed over 5 continents by SAI demonstrating the experience of the company in this domain. For more than 20 years, SAI has designed and fabricated exhaust systems for gas turbines and thermal engines. Exhaust silencers serve a two-fold purpose: to reduce important noise level and to reduce the atmospheric pollution generated by the exhaust gas in a context of tougher environmental regulation.

Turbomachinery deserve the best filtration for optimal performances. SAI has developed innovative and sturdy static filtration solutions. Static filtration is especially suitable for continental climate, offshore, cold region and tropical conditions. Static filter elements offer a wide range of solutions to protect the turbomachinery from humid and sticky dust, hydrocarbon particles, smoke, soot, and industrial pollution.

Main applications for compact jet-pulse air intake units are air intake systems for diesel & gas engines. These self-cleaning filters can also be used for other rotating machines such as large blowers or compressors. On very polluted sites like rock processing plants, mines or cement plants, compact jet-pulse can also be used on ventilation systems to protect operators in control rooms or to protect sensitive components in electrical rooms for instance. Residual dust removed from the airflow can be either continuously extracted with secondary dust extraction fan or it can be simply stored in dust drawers located on the bottom of dust hoppers underneath the filter elements.

Designed for low pressure drop performances even with challenging environments. Cartridge filter casing with automatic pulse-cleaning sequence have been initially developed to equip turbomachinery exposed to high dust concentrations in dry climates: sandstorm, seasonal dust such as harmattan, presence of laterite… SAI Jet-Pulse filters are designed to meet the expectations of power plant operators in very difficult environments.
