The 092K1 Standard Root Auger Set, Bi Partite. Near undisturbed soil samples can be taken in layers of 15 cm (6 inch). Total sampling depth 2 m (6.5 ft.). A complete root coring system. Plant rooting is one of the most important areas of plant health and there is no better way to gauge this important plant feature than with a good set of root cores. Useful for viewing root growth (depth and concentration) of the root systems of trees and plants. Also useful for localizing physical and/or chemical barriers in the soil profile.

For rapid undisturbed sampling at depths to 40 cm (16.75 inch). The split sampler version makes it easy to perform effective core sampling by the virtue of easy opening split tubes. Often in core sampling with wet clay soils that tend to stick it makes the job almost impossible. By using the split tube sampler one can easily remove a soft sticky soil core. In addition it uses protective core liners to assure easy core removal. Includes two stainless steel tube halves, 40 cm (16.75 inch) working length, handle, hammer with nylon heads, sample liners, storage containers and a steel lifting jack with lever and chain.
