Horizon Sensor for Nano and Micro Satellites (HSNS) of Solar MEMS is a Quad Thermopile sensor for Earth detection and Nadir vector determination. This device measures the infrared radiation from Space and from Earth with 4 IR-eyes, providing accurate and reliable detection and attitude determination. HSNS is based on previous experience of Solar MEMS making attitude sensors and long research projects on IR sensing devices. Every HSNS is characterized and tested, and includes a microcontroller for fast assembly and integration with different options like UART or I2C protocols.

Optical heads of the Ground Support Equipment, to interface with the satellite and the sun sensor. It includes a black covering and a soft mounting plane to avoid damages to the satellite.

Using highgly collimated light sources. Additionally, Solar MEMS offers custom light sources and spectrum depending on the requirements.

STNS is a low cost star tracker based on CMOS image sensor for high accurate satellite attitude determination. The device captures images of a Star Field with an internal camera device and identifies star constellations to determine orientation of the satellite in an absolute reference frame and attitude with high accuracy.
