SolarFire - Fire Suppression Foam Systems

SolarFire Systems specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of diverse fire suppression foam systems which have been crucial in extinguishing fires involving flammable and combustible liquids. Unlike other agents like water or CO2, foam operates by cooling and separating the ignition source from the fuel. The company offers an array of options including low, medium, and high expansion foam systems, and specialized solutions such as alcohol-resistant foam. Remote control and manual foam monitor systems are available, ensuring tailored solutions for varied industrial applications. Foam sample testing services are also provided to ensure system efficacy. SolarFire Systems supports comprehensive maintenance services to ensure operational readiness of the systems at all times, bolstering safety protocols in hazardous environments. This commitment extends to responsible product disposal in compliance with diverse regulatory standards, highlighting a holistic approach to fire safety management.

Water Mist Systems

SolarFire - High Pressure Water Mist Systems for Efficient Fire Suppression

SolarFire Systems specializes in high pressure water mist systems, a fire suppression technology that operates at pressures above 35 bar. These systems discharge water in the form of mist via spray heads, producing tiny water droplets that create a significant cooling effect with minimal water usage. This results in an efficient coverage of protected areas during a fire. The high speed of the droplets enables the mist to penetrate hot fumes and reach combustion areas swiftly, which assists in extinguishing fires effectively. High pressure water mist systems can be customized around a cylinder system or a pumped system, offering a flexible solution for various fire protection requirements. These systems are ideal for applications where water damage needs to be minimized while ensuring rapid fire suppression capabilities.

SolarFire - Low Pressure Water Mist Fire Suppression System

Low pressure water mist fire suppression systems utilize a water pressure of up to 12 bar, making them less aggressive than traditional sprinkler systems. These systems require lower volumes of water compared to conventional fire sprinklers, resulting in reduced pipework diameters and storage capacities. The system's design includes discreet concealed nozzles that can often be color-matched to blend seamlessly with building aesthetics. The lower pressure and water volume do not compromise effectiveness, ensuring reliable fire suppression suitable for various settings. Low pressure systems are ideal for applications where water damage must be minimized while still providing effective fire control. They offer significant benefits in terms of both installation and operational efficiency, aligning well with environmental and resource-saving goals.

Gas Suppression

SolarFire - Novec 1230 Comprehensive Fire Suppression Systems

SolarFire Systems provide a comprehensive range of Fire Suppression Systems that are compliant with the British Standard BS EN 15004 fixed firefighting systems. 3M™ Novec™ 1230 is the environmentally friendly alternative to FM200® and has a number of further benefits. 3M™ Novec™ 1230 has the largest safety margin of all the suppression gasses. 3M™ Novec™1230 contains neither bromine nor chlorine and has zero ozone depleting potential. The atmospheric lifetime of 3M™ Novec™ 1230 fluid is estimated to be in the range of 3-5 days and with a global warming potential of 1, it is considered that the 3M™ Novec™ 1230 has no measurable impact on climate change. These attributes ensure that 3M™ Novec™ 1230 represents a truly sustainable solution.

SolarFire - Advanced Delivery System

The Kidde ADS Series (Advanced Delivery System) is designed for efficient fire suppression in larger enclosures where longer clean agent flow distances are required. It utilizes the 3M Novec 1230 fire protection fluid at its core. This system stands out due to its efficient delivery mechanism known as 'piston flow,' which enables higher mass flow rates, approximately 2.5 to 3 times faster than conventional systems. This innovation allows for extended piping runs and smaller pipe diameters, which optimizes space usage and enables protection from a centralized location. The 3M Novec 1230 fluid, which is environmentally considerate, offers a high safety margin among suppression gases and does not contribute to ozone depletion due to its lack of bromine and chlorine. With a minimal atmospheric lifetime of three to five days and a global warming potential of one, 3M Novec 1230 provides a sustainable fire suppression option with no significant climate change impact.
