Magnetic Separators
SOLLAU - Model DND-AC - Overband Magnet with Automatic Cleaning
Suspended permanent magnets with automatic cleaning are suitable for materials with a high content of ferromagnetic particles, which would clog manually cleanable magnetic plates very quickly. Using of this separator placed above the conveyor belt enables sorting of iron contaminants from the processed materials. At the same time, the subsequent technological appliances are protected from damage. The tramp ferrous metal extracted from the conveyed material is constantly removed by a heavy duty rubber belt.
SOLLAU - Model MB - Magnetic Drum
The magnetic drums are used for automatic and continuous removal of magnetic particles from bulk materials. The magnetic system based on permanent magnets is easy to operate, it reliably separates tramp metal and protects the subsequent machinery (e. g. shredders, mills, grinders) from damage.
SOLLAU - Model MBZ - Magnetic Drum in Housing
The magnetic drums are used for automatic and continuous removal of magnetic particles from bulk materials. The magnetic system based on permanent magnets is easy to operate, it reliably separates tramp metal and protects the subsequent machinery (e. g. shredders, mills, grinders) from damage. The drum separator in housing can be also equipped with a dust extraction flange for the connection to the external dust extraction system.
SOLLAU - Model ECS - Eddy Current Separator
An eddy current separator is a dual pulley conveyor system, where the non-metallic rotor cover houses an independently rotating high-speed magnetic rotor. Separation occurs when a non-ferrous metal particle (e. g. aluminium, copper or zinc) gets into the magnetic zone. The non-ferrous metal particle is exposed to rapidly changing magnetic polarity. This induces ‘eddy currents’ into the particle generating an electrical current that subsequently creates its own magnetic field. The two magnetic fields oppose against each other and cause the repulsion of the non-ferrous metal particle.
