If you only occasionally need to take noise-related questions into account, this software, as the quintessence of its "big brother" SoundPLAN_noise, is the ideal program for you.

The room acoustics software Sarooma enables targeted acoustics design in 15 languages for 12 different national standards. It is an easy-to-use, user friendly Room Acoustics Calculator available for websites (Web App), for tablets and smartphones (Mobile App) or as a classical desktop software for Windows (Windows App). It allows to calculate reverberation times in octave bands from 125 Hz to 4 kHz and level reduction according to the Sabine Diffuse Field Theory. The software is based on a cutting-edge database that contains more than 3400 models of sound-absorbing products from many well-known manufacturers. While the Web App and Mobile App are tailored towards manufacturers and contain their brand’s products only, the Windows App is made for the professional planer and allows to access all available absorber products (Public Data). It even allows the user to enter further absorber product data (Private Data).

SoundPLAN_manda software is the new mapping and analysis tool specifically designed for the assessment of occupational noise.

Software that is structured like your consulting project. SoundPLAN is structured like any sensible consulting project. Organize the acoustical data of machines and vehicles, place the numbers into the library and then generate the basic model with its geometry. Match it with the acoustics (or air pollution) specific definitions. Merge different content from imported geometry and bitmaps with machine/traffic data from the library and complement it with materials properties like absorption and transmission from our vast library. Save the model and do the simulations in the Calculations Core. Continue to work on the acoustics, creating variants of the model to study/verify your suggestions. Finally, document your findings in the Graphics and Documentation.

The road and railway modules consist of 2 main parts; the emission calculation and the propagation calculation. The emission calculation is always performed inside the Geo-Database where the vehicle numbers for various vehicle categories, the speed of the vehicles, and the road/rail surfaces are fed into a calculation that results in the emission level. The emission level can be the sound power or a sound pressure level in a given reference distance from the road/rail. Emissions are calculated for every section of the road/rail. Where conditions change in traffic speed, volume or surface type, a new emission value is computed.

In SoundPLAN special tools are found at every corner of the program supporting you in getting the best results out of noise modeling/planning software and to present your findings optimally. A lot of the tools are already included in the basic start-kits. The Documentation and the basic Spreadsheet are tools that go well beyond what many expect from planning software. In order to fully understand the extent of the tools, a software trial is the only way to go.
