INTREPID™ MicroPoint™-POE-S is an IP-based perimeter fence detection system ideal for applications with cut-or-climb intrusion risks. This solution easily integrates with existing third-party IP / POE security devices and cameras. Proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms precisely locate intrusion attempts to within 1.1 m (3.6 ft) while ignoring harmless disturbances, producing superior probability of detection (PD) and a low nuisance alarm rate (NAR). This solution couples the field-proven performance of MicroPoint II with TCP/IP network integration via a single Ethernet cable, providing installation and maintenance convenience, system design flexibility and lower infrastructure costs.

For use at United States correctional facilities, INTREPID™ MicroNet™ II has been the industry’s highest performing fence detection technology for more than 25 years, using proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to precisely locate escape attempts to within 1.1 m (3.6 ft) while ignoring harmless distributed events such as wind, rain or vehicle traffic. The system provides the superior signal-to-noise ratio, bandwidth and dynamic range to deliver high probability of detection (Pd) and low nuisance alarm rate (NAR). With a coverage area of 400 m (1312 ft) per processor, the MicroNet™ II system consists of a MicroNet™ Processor Module housed in a NEMA 4 steel enclosure and two MicroPoint™ sensor cables that are tie-wrapped to a perimeter fence or topper wire. MicroNet II detection zones are set in software to cost-effectively tailor zoning to suit a correctional facility’s unique requirements.

INTREPID™ MicroWave 330 (K-band) is a volumetric perimeter detection system for fencelines, open areas, gates, entryways, walls, and rooftop applications. Based on Southwest Microwave’s field-proven microwave detection technology, it reliably detects human intruders with minimal environmental nuisance alarms. Advanced digital signal processing (DSP) allows continuous monitoring of intrusion alarm and tamper switch status, received signal strength, and detection parameters.

INTREPID™ Model 316-POE-S (K-band) is a CE-rated volumetric IP-based perimeter detection sensor for fencelines, open areas, gates, entryways, walls and rooftop applications. Combining Southwest Microwave’s field-proven detection performance with advanced embedded Digital Signal Processing to discriminate between intrusion attempts and environmental disturbances, Model 316-POE-S mitigates risk of site compromise while preventing nuisance alarms. Designed for maximum protection against sabotage, Model 316-POE-S is a high-security detection solution for security-sensitive sites. Heavy-duty components and packaging plus integrated radome tamper switches impede physical abuse. Superior EMI/RFI shielding protects sensor electronics against external electromagnetic or radio frequency interference.
