Chain link fence has been the fencing standard for nearly 100 years. Galvanized Chain link fence began with Galvanized After Weave, GAW, in the early years by applying zinc to an unfinished raw steel previously woven product.  That product continues today as it has for years.  New technology has allowed for the introduction of Galvanized Before Weave, GBW, chain link fence in the early 1990’s to the extent of making a product comparable to the GAW in coating and life expectancy.

Vinyl coated chain link is an increasingly popular alternative to simple galvanized chain link fencing. Previously galvanized wire is coated in vinyl by one of three processes: extruded, extruded bonded and fuse bonded. Vinyl coated wire comes in a variety of colors, allowing you to match nearly any palette.

We provide a number of various fence frameworks for residential chain link fences. Gauge sizes include .065”/.047”/.055” for all round, square and rectangle tubing. Coatings include galvanized, polyester and PVC to best protect your chain link fencing. Our tubing is designed to match the quality and strength of our entire chain link fence product line.

For all your basic wire needs, Southwestern Wire provides brite basic wire in both low and high carbon. Our low carbon wire includes C1006-C1026 carbon content and our high carbon wire includes 1027-1065 carbon content. Diameter measurements range from .080 – .192 inches.
