Solar Dual Pumps

The solar dual pumps is an innovative pump designed to utilize the power of the sun during the day and act as a normal hand pump when the solar energy is not available, hence assuring uninterrupted water supply for drinking, sanitation, personal hygiene etc. The system consists of a submersible pump which runs on power generated from the photo-voltaic solar cells and is suitable for use on bore-wells with 100 mm (and above) diameter up to 80-90 meters depth. In practice a solar array is installed near the bore-well, a submersible pump powered with DC motor is installed below the hand pump cylinder. The pump is connected to a storage tank and the collected water is dispensed through a stand post. This system can also be used on other water sources such as open wells or tanks.

Solar Pumps

A Solar Pump is designed to utilize the direct current from the array efficiently, even as the energy production varies throughout the day. Solar Pumps suggest a clean and uncomplicated substitute to fuel-burning engines and generators for domestic water, livestock and irrigation. They are most efficient during dry and sunny seasons; require no fuel deliveries and needs very less safeguarding. They are powered by photo-voltaic panels (not a single battery is used) and the flow rate is determined by the intensity or radiation of sunlight. Thus the Solar Power Pumps are more cost-effective and have not as much of impact on the environment than the pumps operated by the combustion engine.

Joy Pump

Joy - See Saw Pumps

Joy pumps are an innovative concept of pumping water from bore-well, a sump or a rainwater harvesting tank. It uses playful energy of children or operators collectively to pump water. See Saw pumps use force lift technology to draw water from a water source to an overhead tank above the ground level for storage and distribution. It doesn’t require electric power. See Saw pumps work on the same technology and use the reciprocating motion to move the valves of a water cylinder. These pumps use a specially designed mechanism to convert the revolving motion to a reciprocating one. The technology below the ground is same as the hand pump technology, hence making it very easy to maintain at village level.
