New Remediation Equipment
SSI - Turn Key Systems
SSI is uniquely qualified to ultimately become your single source contact that is contractually responsible for delivering on all aspects of your remediation system procurement: Design, Fabrication, Site Construction, System Start-up, and Site Personnel Training.
Turbostripper - Fluidized Bed Air Stripper
SSI is one of the few remediation specialists in the world to effectively employ fluidized air stripping technology. The Turbo Stripper’s™ patented technology efficiently strips VOC’s from contaminated groundwater.
SSI - Air Strippers
SSI’s Air Strippers are available in a wide range of configurations. Each system is designed to meet site specific needs and can be fully integrated with activated carbon and thermal oxidation systems off-gas treatment systems.
SSI - Ozone Injection System
Ozone-air sparging provides enhanced stripping of VOCs from groundwater while introducing ozone as a highly reactive oxidant to destroy the targeted compounds. Ozone is a highly reactive chemical that has proven to be effective in destroying a wide variety of organic chemicals, including MTBE and chlorinated VOCs. Ozone destroys organic chemicals through the process of chemical oxidation, which breaks the targeted organic chemical down into carbon dioxide and water.
SSI - Oxygen Enrichment Systems
Oxygen enrichment provides enhanced stripping of VOCs from the aquifier while introducing oxygen as a highly reactive oxidant to destroy the target compounds. SSI’s oxygen enrichment systems destroy organic chemicals through the process of chemical oxidation, which breaks the targeted organic chemical down into carbon dioxide and water Oxygen enrichment remediation successfully destroys petroleum hydrocarbons such as TPHg, TPHd, BTEX and MTBE in both groundwater and soil applications.
SSI - Granulated Activated Carbon Filter
Activated carbon uses an adsorption process to purify liquids and gases. In this process molecules of a liquid or gas are trapped on either an external or internal surface of a solid. Activated carbon is an ideal material for this process since it has a very high internal surface area. SSI uses TetraSolv liquid Filters.
SSI - Off-Gas Treatment Systems
Thermal and catalytic oxidizers are used to treat the VOC"s in vapor streams from soil vapor extraction (SVE) and (MPE) systems. SSI uses FALCO catalytic oxidizer. The FALCO oxidizers have an efficient heat exchanger. A bypass valve allows for adjustment of heat recovery. Low heat recovery enables operation at high vapor concentration. The FALCO oxidizers also have a massive catalyst volume for its rated capacity, providing longer life and poison resistance than monolith type catalysts. The heat exchanger, heaters and catalyst are integrated into a compact system which is easily installed and operated.
SSI - Submersible Ground Water Pumps
Grundfos Redi-Flo electric submersible pumps set the industry standard for total fluids pumping for a wide range of environmental clean-up and monitoring applications. Grundfos pumps are high quality, multi-stage submersible pumps available in sizes for 2", 3" and 4" wells. The pumps are fabricated from high quality stainless steel with teflon fittings for long life in severe pumping applications and maximum resistance to contaminants.
Skimpac - Self Contained, Stand-Alone Product Recovery Skimming System
A self contained, stand-alone product recovery system which can be installed in any monitoring or recovery well. No Power, No Air, No Permits, No Trenching. SSI’s SkimPac solar skimmer is an ideal application for remote locations and for those that need immediate response.
SSI - Zero-Emissions Bioreactors
SSI’s Zero-Emission Bioreactor is an example of a custom built remediation system. Our system extracted contaminated water which was transferred to a bioreaction tank. The ex-situ Bioreactor-based water treatment involves pumping groundwater out of the ground, mixing it with active microorganisms in a bioreactor system, and discharging the newly treated water. The treated water is either sent back into the ground, to a municipal sewer system, or into surface water. System component selection is dependant upon customer specifications.
