Specific Systems - Wall-Mounted Industrial Severe Duty and Explosion Proof HVAC Units

Specific Systems InPac Series wall-mounted industrial severe duty and explosion proof HVAC units are engineered and proven to provide safe air conditioning and stand up to the rigors and harsh conditions of corrosive and hazardous environments, including those found in refineries, water/wastewater treatment plants, and on oil drilling rigs and offshore processing plants.

Specific Systems AirPak - Wall-Mounted HVAC Units

Specific Systems` AirPak wall-mounted HVAC units are proven to stand up to harsh conditions of industrial environments, in applications where commercial units fail or a greater cooling capacity is required.

Specific-Systems - Building Purge & Pressurization Systems

It is important to maintain an atmosphere inside a building that is conducive to allowing equipment to operate effectively. Specific Systems InPac PPUs are designed and manufactured to provide those necessary interior conditions.

Optional Equipment and Accessories

Specific-System - Alarms and Detection Unit

Keep your employees and equipment safe with combustible, corrosive, and toxic gas alarms.  Gas alarms are used to detect and alert persons of the presence of corrosive and/or combustible gases including hydrogen sulfide (Hâ‚‚S) and sulfur dioxide (SOâ‚‚), nitrogen dioxide (NOâ‚‚), and oxygen (Oâ‚‚). The alarms may be used in hazardous areas and can be integrated into Specific Systems HVAC units even in Class I, Div 1, Groups B, C, & D environments.

Specific-Systems - 16-Gauge Stainless Steel Cabinet Materials

One of the most corrosion resistant and commonly used type of stainless steel, Type 304 is in the family of austenitic alloys of stainless steel that exhibits excellent corrosion resitant properties, especially when maintained annually. Type 304 stainless is resistant to oxidation in non-chloride environments, and is typically used in applications such as on-shore refineries and production facilities where corrosion is likely.

Specific Systems - Packed Bed Chemical Scrubbers (PCBS)

Specific Systems’ packed bed chemical scrubbers (PCBS) are designed to attach to large Specific Systems InPac units and provide filtration from corrosive, toxic, and aromatic airborne chemicals. These chemicals include those commonly found in petrochemical facilities, such as SO2. Packed bed scrubbers deliver filtered pressurized air to the HVAC system, and ultimately to protected and controlled areas.

Specific Systems - Roof Mounted System

Specific Systems roof mounted InPac systems are typically horizontal in design. The systems are mounted to a skid, and our engineering team will work with you to meet the specifications of the roof curb on your building. The supply and return can be independently arranged prior to manufacture to meet the needs of the application to flow through the end, sides, or bottom of the industrial HVAC system.

Specific-Systems - Multi-Unit Controls System

Many of our customers require N+1 redundancy for the HVAC on their buildings. Our multiplexor control panel is an option provided for applications that require multiple HVAC systems. This allows additional redundancy, often desired for unattended sites, and provides several standard services including:

Technicoat - Corrosion Resistant Coil Coatings

Technicoat is an air-dried resin-based thermoplastic on top of a baked phenolic coating designed specifically for use in salt-water environments. TechniCoat has been and is currently being successfully used in water treatment plants, paper mills, food processing plants, oil & gas related plants, off-shore drilling rigs, hatcheries, hospitals, laboratories & research facilities, and hotels. Technicoat requires minimal maintenance, with only a recommended quarterly washdown with a fan-nozzled pressurewasher and very mild detergent. Technicoat averages 2–3 mils thick, including the top coat and received excellent ratings with the ASME B117 salt fog test, holding up to an additional 1500 hours of testing.

Specific-Systems - Plenum Dual Unit

Thanks to constant technological advancements, heat loads are rapidly increasing while their enclosure sizes remain the same. Often this leads to reduced wall space which, when combined with the increased capacity requirements, restricts the available space for an HVAC system. Fortunately, we offer dual unit plenums for our InPac and AirPak lines that retain the wall space necessary for a single unit while providing complete 100% redundancy. Plenums are available for all system sizes and in all cabinet materials including:
