Turbidity Barriers - Siltdam Turbidity Barriers
Siltdam - Model Type I - Silt Film Turbidity Barriers
SILTDAM turbidity barriers are designed to prevent the migration of silt and turbidity from exiting a work area. Typical uses include; dredging, shoreline revetments, sheet wall or pile driving, aquatic weed control/harvesting, and marine construction activities. SILTDAM turbidity barriers are designed to accommodate a variety of wind, sea and current conditions. Our standard barriers offer the additional benefit of debris and oil containment at the water line with the use of 22 oz PVC oil boom fabric around the floatation compartment. The floatation compartment is completely heat-sealed, each floatation element is additionally heat sealed on each end to create a completely watertight compartment and prevent the floats from shifting.

Spilldam - Custom Turbidity Barriers
Designed to accommodate a variety of wind, sea, and current conditions, our custom turbidity barriers help prevent silt and other turbidity from drifting away from a work area. Our standard barriers are equipped with 22 oz PVC oil boom fabric around the flotation compartment that offer additional debris and oil containment at the water line. We also install a skirt section below the flotation compartment that can be constructed from either permeable, woven polypropylene geotextile fabrics or impermeable polypropylene and PVC fabrics. This skirt section can be set to any desired depth. In addition, our flotation compartment is entirely heat-sealed (including all flotation elements) on each end, creating a watertight compartment that prevents any floats from shifting.
Oil Containment Booms
Spilldam - Model 4x6 - Oil Containment Booms
A compact, easily deployed containment for still or calm water applications. This highly portable barrier can be carried to remote locations and is an excellent first response boom.
Spilldam - Model 180 - Oil Containment Booms
A compact fence style boom consisting of a flexible skirt and floatation units designed to contain spills in inland waters and protected harbors. The boom may be deployed from reels, trailers, barges or boats.
Spilldam - Model Log I - Oil Containment Booms
A sturdy, economical general purpose oil containment boom specifically designed for use in inland waters and protected harbors with low current velocities. Meets OPA-90 calm water requirements.
Spilldam - Model Log I-C - Oil Containment Booms
A heavy duty work boom designed for repeated deployment with increased strength provided by the addition of a top tension cable. This cable allows for an increase in drag force for longer towing configurations when a continuous length exceeds 500 linear feet. An excellent containment boom for harbors, marinas, rivers and as a first response in open ocean environments.
Spilldam - Model Log II-C - Oil Containment Boom
Designed for outer harbor and open water containment applications. Manufactured with larger floatation and dual load lines to endure the punishment of rough seas and repeated use.
