SED - Low Temperature Evaporator
Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED) has developed Low Temperatures Evaporator for 100% high quality clean water recovery and recycling in single step in closed loop from any type of waste water using low temperature evaporation technology based on mechanical vapour compression/recompression system providing eco-friendly solution. This system is operating on compressed vapour without use of external heat source i.e. boiler, turbine, cooling water etc. thus eliminating use of heat generation unit (Fossil & Non-Fossil Fuel Boiler) and heat rejection unit (Condenser and Cooling Tower).

SED - Tubular Falling Film Evaporator
Our aim is to bring benefits to the chemical/process industry with practical advice backed by extensive factory-based knowledge and process automation. We have modified the conventional evaporation systems by modifying the evaporator design, developing efficient bleeding system from the evaporator bodies and developing flashing system with maximum flash recovery thus attaining high energy efficiency & reduced steam consumption. These evaporators have long tubes and are most suitable for low temperature applications. In falling film evaporators uniform distribution of liquid in each tube is the most important feature for efficient performance.
SED - Plate Type Falling Film Evaporator
Plate Type Falling Film Evaporator (PTFFE) is efficiently developed for optimizing evaporation of sugar solutions with full accessibility of the heat transfer surfaces. PTFFE has the lowest pressure losses and higher turbulence on liquid side to achieve the highest heat transfer coefficient. Due to very high heat transfer rate of these evaporators, evaporation from a sugar solution at very low dT can be easily accomplished. It provides flexible capacity merely by adding more plate packs/units, shorter product residence time resulting in a superior quality concentrate, a compact design with low installation cost.

For sustain ability of the jaggery unit, jaggery production technique needs a radical change in order to increase yield/recovery and fuel saving to sustain in the future. Traditional jaggery production process involves open pan boiling consuming very high heat energy, losing major portion of sugar in bagasse and end up with no bagasse saving. Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED) has developed a Low Temperature Evaporator based on mechanical vapour compression/recompression system for jaggery production with minimum electric energy consumption in a closed cycle without Boiler, by adopting indigenously established modern manufacturing process with energy efficient equipment, innovative system for extraction, clarification, evaporation and concentration techniques, which increases jaggery yield/recovery and ensure 100% fuel/bagasse saving.
