For SRP engineers it is very attractive but also demanding to design bridge structures. Several competition awards, partly in cooperation with architects, are an incentive to consider appropriately not only the offered economy but also the design of the structures. Our clients are highway administrations, road construction authorities, local authorities and the German railway in the whole federal territory but lately also abroad. The commissioning of a pilot project for testing the DIN reports and ZTV-ING shows how much respect our bridge engineering enjoys among experts. Our experience and recommendations have had an influence on the new standards and regulations in bridge engineering.
Beside other pilot projects, e.g. a bridge out of high-performance concrete we also could participate in a research project about jointless concrete bridges.

Material combinations or composite construction parts out of stone, concrete, steel and wood, as well as pre-stressed concrete, steel composite construction, steel-glass-elements or cable-stayed membrane constructions are used for design, economic and useful reasons. More and more often there is no open construction area or non-supportable ground. Our special civil engineers design building pit securing, dead shoring and deep foundations also for the most unfavorable conditions.

The great growth rate of population worldwide and the expansion of cities and the amounts of solid waste generated make it more and more important to provide adapted collection systems and environmentally friendly disposal sites to avoid fly tipping and illegal landfills which cause major environmeKasokiske-sntal damage and health risks.

Once safe drinking water has been provided, the healthy living conditions of the public can best be ensured by the provision of effective and reliable sewerage networks. The control of pollution of surface and groundwater sources is achieved by the provision of associated treatment plants to deal with domestic and industrial wastewater. Control of the discharge of rainwater is also a very important issue in urban areas to ensure safety to people and minimise damage to the environment and infrastructure facilities after heavy rain. Re-use of grey water for irrigation purposes is also considered during the conceptual planning and design phase. This also serves to reduce the hydraulic load of the units of the treatment plant.

The existing protected areas force us to design routes across dumps, fens and mountains. Vertical drainages, dynamic intensive compaction, rock securing, etc. are used more and more. Beside route design we can also offer surveying services, environmental planning, and the design of noise protection structures, resting places and racing tracks.
