Washing Systems - Drum Washers
SRS - Drum Washer
A Real SRS Engineering Customer Story – A printing company came to SRS Engineering looking for a drum washer to wash the interior and exterior of their open top 5 gallon and 200 liter drums contaminated with printer inks. They were washing about 25 drums per 8 hour day using a solvent blend of alcohol, ester, and hydrocarbon.
SRS - Drum Washer/Crusher
SRS Engineering’s drum washer/crusher system (DWC-Series) is designed for applications that require washing of the drums prior to crushing the drums for disposal. Instead of a separate drum washer and a separate compactor, the drum washer/crusher accomplishes both the jobs in one unit – thus saving time and money.
Washing Systems - Pails/Buckets/Jars
SRS - Pail Washer
A Real SRS Customer Story: A large US paint producer came to SRS Engineering looking for a solution for removing old dried up paint from their one gallon pails and lids. The workers had the daunting task of washing approximately 4 pails/lids every 5 minutes. This task required not only a substantial amount of time, but manpower. Removing cured paint from pails requires equipment that can not only handle flammable contaminants but can also handle the workload.
SRS - Pail Washer
A Real SRS Engineering Customer Story – A customer involved in the rotogravure printing required a washer to wash the interior and exterior of 5 Gallon pails contaminated with inks from their printing process. The company was washing approximately 30-40 pails over an 8 hour shift using Ethel acetate solvent as their wash solution. The cleaned pails then had to be rinsed.
Solvent Recovery and Recycling
SRS - Solvent Recovery System
The SR-Series is designed for those facilities processing small amounts of solvents but still demand high quality purification. The SR-Series is our small line of distillation units are capable of processing volumes from 3.5 to 55 gallons at a rate of 1.5 to 15 Gallons per hour. This unit is the perfect match for the small business or for large companies handling smaller volumes who desire an inexpensive and simple to operate unit. Despite the small size and price tag of the SR-Series, it definitely doesn’t lack in features or options and can still be customized to meet all of a customer’s needs.
SRS - Solvent Recovery System
The SRV-Series is designed for system sizes handling 25-250 gallons per hour and is the simplest and highest performance system design in its price range. It is composed of a non-scraped vessel with a 70 cone design which incorporates a unique steep walled distillation chamber. This is surrounded by a large volume oil bath heated with electric immersion heaters or optional steam coils. The design provides excellent heat transfer characteristics because of the large surface area in contact with the solvent and the oil media. In most applications, the steep walls keep the inside surfaces of the distillation chamber free of sludge build-up for maximum heat transfer from the hot oil media, and assists in discharging the sludge from a bottom mounted 6″ discharge valve.
SRS - Solvent Recovery System
The SRH-Series is designed for system sizes handling 25-250 gallons per hour and features scrapers and immersion heaters in a large capacity oil bath. The system incorporates a self adjusting scraper unit like the one in the SRS Series unit and provides the same performance reasons. The hot oil media consists of a large volume chamber surrounding the distillation chamber which is heated via two electric immersion heaters or optional steam coils. Because of the relatively large volume of oil involved, this simple and trouble free design minimizes hot spots and results in a very efficient distillation process. An optional auto cool system is achieved by circulating cooling water through coils in the oil bath.
Distillation Columns
SRS - Automated Chemical Distillation Column
The SRXC-Series is a completely automated chemical distillation column designed to address a high purity chemical purification application in multiple industries. The system is designed to remove water, other chemicals, and or contaminants from the chemical being purified. Low part per million (ppm) levels can be attained for reuse. A specially designed fractionating column with a reflux stream is used to separate the materials in a continuous mode while keeping a flow rate of up to 25-5000 gph on a 24 hour per day basis.
Compactors
SRS - Drum Compactor
The SRS CMP-Series Drum Crushers/Drum Compactors are designed to crush 5 – 55 gallon drums and/or contents within a 55 gallon drum. It is also designed to compact liquid soaked materials and automatically collect the liquid in a drum. The CMP-Series Drum Crushers/Drum Compactors are equipped with a 10-15 horse power motor.
VersApak - Drum/Overpak Compactor
VersApak is designed to crush within1 yard box, drum, and overpak compactor (3 Units in 1) and are equipped with interchangeable platens and a unique dual force ram system to enable multiple applications. A single control switch delivers 20,000 lb. compacting force within cubic yard/meter boxes without damaging container & pallet. A drum setting delivers 40K-90Klb. to compact within drums or crush them.
