STAR Water Solutions has developed a range of Reactive Filter Media to treat polluted stormwater and low flow industrial waste water by way of filtration. A distinctive strength of this STAR Water Solutions technology is the ability to remove dissolved contaminents such as nutrients ( e.g. nitrogen, phosphorous), metals ( e.g. copper, lead, zinc), bacteria ( e.g. faecal coliforms), and hydrocarbons ( e.g. petroleum) from stormwater.

Stormwater Treatment and Reuse (STAR) Systems are integrated capture, treatment and reuse systems containing our renowned Reactive Filter Media. STAR systems combine run-off pollutant removal with drainage and non-potable water supply for small or large scale urban, commercial or industrial developments.

WaterClean FilterBales are a unique patented 7 stage above ground sediment filter device that effectively retain sediment runoff and remove chemical, nutrient and biological contaminants. WaterClean FilterBales are a legitimate BMP for “above surface” civil engineering and construction applications. Like the Catch Basin Inserts they also contain a cartridge with Reactive Filter Media.

SafeSox are an innovative new product, providing superior performance by slowing runoff velocity and filtering contaminants in order to prevent sediment and polluted water from causing downstream environmental damage. SafeSox contain a highly engineered EcoMedia, designed to filter dissolved contaminants. They are light weight & re-usable and comply with OH & S standards.

SafeSax are designed to be used in a wide range of applications including construction sites, catch basins or temporary bunding. Containing Reactive Filter Media for general applications or custom designed filter media can be supplied for specific applications. Safe Sax allow treated fluids to flow through the media while removing targeted pollutants.  The specially designed seal locking system provides users with the opportunity to re-use covers and save money.

Earthworks and construction activities disturb soils and create dust and debris. Runoff from landscape construction sites often flows into street gutters and then through drains to creeks or channels ending in rivers, bays or the ocean. If a site is poorly managed, stormwater runoff will carry soil particles, sediment, dissolved plant nutrients, organic matter and waste, which can block council drains, silt up waterways and kill wildlife.

Our FilterBale Drain Insert can physically, chemically and biologically remove and treat pollutants and finer debris. It has a unique patented six stage sediment and filter device developed to substantially reduce the amount of sediment and contaminants entering the drainage system.  The FilterBale Drain Insert™ has a cartridge system containing our highly effective Reactive Filter Media specially designed to target surface pollutants from roads, parking lots and other sealed surfaces that lead to drainage systems.

Reactive Filter Units are designed for either permanent or temporary sites such as factories, construction and mine sites.  Easily installed and maintained, Reactive Filter Units contain a Reactive Filter Media cartridge system that allows the filter to be replaced while the unit remains in place. The cartridge system filter can be custom designed to treat a wide range of physical, chemical and biological pollutants. Cartridge systems can be designed for either manual or mechanical removal.
