Fish Processing Machines
STEEN - Model ST521 - Descaler
Working with the manual fish descaling machine does not only reduce the labor load of your workers, but it also assures the job is done consistent and with a high-speed. The simplicity in the design also allows low-experienced users to operate the machine with high efficiency. The machine has 3 different spindle heads available depending on the job you need to do. Larger fish with large scales require a rougher spindle head, while smaller fish with little scales require a finder spindle head. The medium head is to alternate between large and small scaled fish or to descale medium size of fish with medium scales. The compact machine can be easily mounted on the wall which extends life expectancy of the device. Spare parts of this machine are always in stock.
STEEN - Model ST521 SAM - Semi Automatic Descaler
The ST521 SAM is an automatic fish descaling machine, re-engineered from the vegetable industry, descales +/-20 kg of whole fish (including ice) at a time . The rotating motion of the bottom plate brings the fish into a circular flow. The static abrasive side plates and the bottom plate scrape against the scales and removes them in the process. The water washes the scales and ice out of the system and will be collected in the scale basket where the water will be drained. The operator sets the timer for each batch and therefore has time for a second task. The fillet will remain undamaged, but the abrasion of the plates will also work on the fins and head of the fish. Filleting the fish before selling removes the these areas.
STEEN - Model ST540 - Fin Tail Head Cutter
This fin tail head cutter relieves the time consuming and frustrating handling of cutting by hand. The ST540 improves on cutting speed, cutting accuracy and takes away the cramps in the hands of the operator. Even though the manual handling takes a bit of getting used to, the machine can cut about 10 flounders per minute. Adjust the safety bar in front of the cutting blade to the height of the fish to maximizes the operators safety for each weight grade that needs cutting. Limiting the cutting height, i.e. product height to a height of 25mm, maximizes the operators safety. The machine also cuts the heads of smaller fish like eels and sprats and can cut portions of fillets keeping the maximum cutting height in mind. Available as tabletop or with an optional trolley in which the machine is placed increasing functionality.
