The integrity of masonry structures can be compromised by factors such as deteriorated mortar joints and cracked bricks. These problems are caused by stress buildup in masonry facades, water penetration within and behind masonry walls, original construction defects and a host of other issues. STRUCTURAL has the experience and capability to repair all types of problems that are prevalent in masonry construction. Our repair techniques include repointing of deteriorated mortar joints, removal and replacement of cracked or distressed brick, shelf angle restoration and installation of horizontal and vertical expansion joints to allow movement in masonry walls. Other solutions include installation of pins that tie masonry façades to structural backup, installation of thru-wall flashing and cleaning of masonry facades.

When it comes to structures with historic significance, the beauty of stained glass or wood-framed windows and the color of brick and natural stone are important architectural and aesthetic features.
