Treatment Plant Maintenance Services

Small to medium sized wastewater treatment plant operators are characterised as operators who prefer an install and forget system, because while operating a WWTP may be integral to their business, it is not their primary business. Typically they rely on a failure based maintenance culture as they do not have a staff member or maintenance crew available for the upkeep of a wastewater treatment plant, nor do they have large budgets available for the implementation of in-house preventative maintenance.

Rainwater Recycling Plant Design

Water is our most precious natural resource and something that most of us take for granted. We are increasingly becoming aware of the importance of water to our survival and its limited supply, especially in such a dry country as Australia. Rainwater tanks provide a source of clear, soft natural water, and provide a more self-sufficient, sustainable lifestyle. Rainwater tanks are an effective way to take the pressure off our limited water resources, and at the same time, help manage stormwater run-off. By storing rainwater run-off from the roof, rainwater tanks can provide a valuable water source for flushing toilets, washing cloths, watering gardens, washing cars and even as a clean, pure drinking water source.

Stormwater Management Plans

Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) is an modern approach to managing stormwater that is now a requirement by councils across Australia. It uses the integration of physical and biological treatment systems to achieve more sustainable water quality outcomes without compromising flood security or aesthetics. The primary purpose of a Stormwater Management Plan is to protect waterways from pollution carried in stormwater runoff. By incorporating stormwater collection into the Stormwater Management Plan, it can have the additional benefit of providing an alternative water source for the development, required under the Queensland Development Codes.

Data Logging & Network Integrity Testing

With ongoing drought, water supply shortages and escalating water charges in Australia, monitoring water usage is becoming critical. Under Level 6 Water Restrictions in South East Queensland monitoring and reporting water usage is a regulatory requirement for large water users (10ML/ yr or greater). The introduction of water restrictions in SEQ which are both stringent and permanent will require a new approach to water usage in business. Increasingly water is being seen as a raw material, rather than an unlimited resource. As with all raw materials, usage requires monitoring to eliminate inefficiencies.
