De-Mineralization unit is commonly used to remove of dissolved solids from the water. It is provided in various capacities with manual, semi automatic and fully automatic operation and as per customer requirement deionization units are designed both in up flow and down flow stream and are available in various standard capacities as per system requirement and tailor made.

Usually a mixed bed polishing unit contains Strong Acid Cation (SAC) resin and Strong Base Anion (SBA) resins combined to a ratio of approximately 40% Cation resin to 60% Anion resin. (All resin volumes are dependent upon the incoming water analysis and the required quantity of treated water). Mixed bed polishers are typically installed when a water quality of less than 1 micro ohm conductivity is required.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a separation process that uses pressure to force a solution through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows the pure solvent to pass to the other side. More formally, it is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying a pressure in excess of the Osmotic Pressure.

Ultra filtration is a pressure driven membrane separation process that separates particulate matter from soluble components in the carrier fluid (such as water). UF membranes typically have pore sizes in the range of 0.01 - 0.10 µm and have a high removal capability for bacteria and most viruses, colloids and silt (SDI). The smaller the nominal pore size, the higher the removal capability. UF units are designed for municipal drinking water, pretreatment of RO and other industrial application.
