Aerobic Biological Treatment
Symbiona AeroMem - Membrane Bioreactors
In this system, clean water is separated from waste sludge by membranes (on a cellular level). We use high quality submerged modules (AeroMem™-SUB, which can be installed either in the aeration tank or in a separate membrane tank, with MLSS up to 16g/l) or external membrane systems for very high MLSS concentrations (AeroMem™-X, up to 25g/l).
Symbiona - Moving Bed Bioreactors and IFAS Systems
The use of high surface carriers (>650m2/m3) floating in the biological reactor results in controlled growth of biofilm bacteria in the aerobic reactor. The system can be used for biological filtration (MBBR, MBBR-BNR) or coupled with activated sludge (IFAS), where additional denitrification is required. These systems offer high stability for toxic compounds and changing flows, with a very small surface required to remove high COD loads. In case of high effluent discharge limit, a membrane system can be included to remove the solids in a hybrid MBBR-AeroMem™ system.
Symbiona - Continuous Flow Activated Sludge Reactors with Clarifiers or Flotation Biological Reactors
Wastewater flows through biological reactor in continuous plug-flow system ended with a clarifier for waste biological sludge and effluent separation. In case of our flotation biological reactors (FloFBR™) traditional clarifier is replaced by sludge flotation as activated sludge clarifier. It makes the system more compact, due to a higher concentration of MLSS in the aeration tank.
Symbiona - Sequence Batch Reactors (SBR)
Well known process operating in single tank or multiple tanks. All processes required to clean wastewater are used in one one tank or series of tanks with nitrification, and nitrogen removal. Process could be simplified or in full automation.
Symbiona AeroDuct - Aerators
For old type oxidation ditches we supply our own aerating brush rotors. They are usually coupled with automated weirs and oxygen control to provide cost-effective organic load removal.
Anaerobic Biological Systems
Symbiona AnoxyMem - Anaerobic Biological Systems
Top of the top, with to 99% of COD removal, own proprietary anaerobic reactor combinig the best from two worlds – flocullent sludge and memrbane technology as separator. Best for very high COD effluents (up to over 200.000mg/l) that contains lot of TSS up to over 50.000mg/l. Suitable also for treatment of mixes of wastewater and slurries or organic factory waste (ie. flotation sludge, chocloate scrap).
Symbiona AnoxyBed - Anaerobic Biological Systems
High-rate methane fermentation reactors AnoxyBed combbines high COD removal performance with minimal footprint. Symbiona AnoxyBed™-EGSB/UASB/DAG anaerobic systems proven as robust and flexible for industrial effluents. depending on TSS levels and temperatures we propose either AnoxyBed™-EGSB (expanded Granular Sludge Bed) reactors with high capacity settlers or our AnoxyBEd™-DAG (downflow attached growth) anaerobic carrier system. AnoxyBed™-D is used especialy for repowering existing aerobic plants into anaerobic ones. We also offer services of renovation of exiting plants in EGSB, UASB, IC technologies.

Compact units for fats and TSS removal. Could be delivered as stainless steel units, as well as concrete build for high flows.
