Defoam - Model FG-10 - Silicone Defoamer for Aqueous Systems

Defoam FG-10 is used to reduce foam in tanks containing fish, especially during transport. Defoam FG-10’s antifoam emulsion is an easy-to-use, water dilutable, silicone defoamer for aqueous systems. Easy to dilute and disperse, it is effective in high temperature systems, high-sugar solutions, and salt brines, and maintains its effectiveness at temperatures up to boiling. This emulsion contains 10 percent of a silicone compound that qualifies under FDA regulations for use in foods and has also gained acceptance for use in kosher foods.

Virkon Aquatic - Fish Virus and Bacteria Disinfectant

Virkon Aquatic is a concentrated powder that when mixed with water, forms a powerful cleaning and disinfecting solution with proven efficacy against fish viruses including ISA, IPN, Rhabdovirus (IHN, VHS, SVC) bacteria, fungi, and molds. Virkon Aquatic is approved for the disinfection of environmental surfaces associated with aquaculture including vehicles, nets, boots, waders, dive suits, hoses, brushes and other similar equipment. Virkon Aquatic is fast acting and fragrance free which makes it ideal for use in disinfecting foot baths.

Virkon - Aquatic Solution Testing Strips

Virkon Test Strips are used to measure the concentration of prepared Virkon Aquatic solutions. They can be used to verify the solution strength in foot baths and on surfaces being disinfected. Virkon Aquatic solutions are produced by mixing Virkon Aquatic powder into working solution strengths of 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0% with the 1.0% concentration being used most often. Virkon Aquatic solutions will gradually lose activity over time. The Virkon Aquatic label states that solutions are stable for at least 7 days, while some fish hatchery staff are reporting activity lasting for up to 2-3 weeks. Actual solution life will vary and is reduced by exposure to organics and UV light. Virkon Test Strips are an effective and convenient tool for ensuring that Virkon solutions are maintained at the desired strength.
