The AQ-CC Series cartridges are designed to raise the pH of influent waters. These cartridges contain sparingly soluble sacrificial medias that are only acted upon by acidic waters. They will have little effect on neutral or alkaline water. The AQ-CC Series are flow rate dependent. At flow rates of 0.1 gpm, the CC-01 will neutralize an acidity of pH 1.0. Higher pH feeds can utilize higher flow rates. As you approach ph 7 with low flow rates, the CC-01 may tend to over-correct, resulting in a pH above 8.5. In this case, choose one of the other cartridges with less response. The cartridges are listed in decreasing order of response.

The AQ-CFX is a non-regenerable drinking water and general purpose taste and odor reduction cartridge designed to remove fluorides and free chlorine to levels below 0.5 and 0.1 ppm respectively. It is constructed of FDA grade materials and media. The AQ-CFX cartridge utilizes a special fine mesh activated alumina that has been preconditioned specifically for single use cartridges and a special 20 x 50 mesh refined coconut shell carbon with high chlorine removal efficiency. The AQ-CFX will also reduce taste and odor caused by natural and/or man-made organic contaminates.

The DI-2 is a non-regenerable industrial and general-purpose deionization polishing cartridge designed to give multi meg-ohm quality water for analytical and general laboratory use.The highly purified ion exchange resins will deliver high purity water with a minimum TOC background. The DI-2 is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media and is designed as a polisher for low TDS feed water. It can be used in a recirculating mode or as a polisher for R/O product water.The capacity on 10 ppm water is approximately 750 gallons.Divide 7500 by the ppm of the feed to get approximate throughput in gallons.Downflow operation is preferred. Intermittent up-flow may cause bed separation and quality failure.Continuous up-flow to exhaustion is acceptable.

The DI-3 is a non-regenerable industrial and general-purpose deionization cartridge designed for uses where low TDS water is required but sophisticated monitoring equipment is absent.When used in clear housings,the color change of the mixed bed resin can be noted upon exhaustion. The DI-3, as with all mixed bed DI cartridges,should be operated in a downflow mode. Otherwise,resin separation will occur giving a high effluent pH. If the housing can only be mounted with the sump downward (upflow cartridge),then the cap should be reversed so that water enters the "outlet",flows down through the cartridge out through the "inlet". The DI-3 is not intended for potable water uses.

The DI-4 is a non-regenerable general-purpose deionization cartridge designed for use as an R/O polisher for potable as well as laboratory grade water. The DI-4 has a carbon bed acting as a post filter to reduce TOC,taste, and odor. It is especially useful for polishing CA membrane R/O water as it can remove free chlorine as well as CO2 gas. The DI-4 is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media. It can be used in recirculating mode or single pass. For best capacity, use two DI-4 cartridges in series. Downflow operation is preferred. Intermittent upflow may cause bed separation and failure. Reverse the housing cap (go in through the outlet) to accommodate flow direction. Continuous flow in upward direction is okay.
