In physical interaction with the product, each user and each interaction sequence shows a unique and often distinctive force signal pattern in the sensor data. Every conscious and subconscious interaction with a product follows an underlying sequence of movements and surface touchpoints. Those are influenced by designers through selected materials, distinctive surface markings, mechanical, ergonomics and UX design. At tacterion we leverage this know-how to optimally position plyon sensors in the product surface to digitize every interaction that takes place. We use sensor data analytics to process the data that is generated in the edge device and identify characteristic curves to discriminate users from objects such as a human presence detection, to detect intended gestures, or to spot the desired actions. Real time local sensor data processing is utilized to create reliable, safe and intuitive product innovation.
