TFP - Glass Fibre Cryogenic Tissues - Supacool Range

TFP produces Supacool, a range of high performance cryogenic tissues. The materials are lightweight, glass fibre tissues which are usually co-wound with a metal foil and then inserted between the inner and outer walls of the cryogenic vessel. The range includes Supacool M, a binder free microfine glass tissue suitable for liquid oxygen vessels and Supacool T, which is a short chopped glass fibre product containing a small amount of organic binder.

Although TFP is best known for its advanced nonwovens, our capability extends beyond this to complementary technologies. A key example of this is our subsidiary Electro Fiber Technologies LLC (EFT) which is based in Schenectady NY and home to 3 commercial fibre coating lines, development facilities and a team of experienced material scientists.

TFP - Conductive Nonwovens

TFP`s nonwovens have a long track record in enabling resistive or joule heating technologies. The range of conductive nonwovens we offer, coupled with the capability to precisely adapt the electrical properties to deliver a specific level of electrical resistance, make them an ideal candidate for heating applications. The resistive heating nonwovens work when an electrical current is passed across the structure, when this occurs energy is released in the form of heat. The heat generated is then utilised effectively in a range of different applications including heating panels and de-icing of bridge structures and other components.

TFP - Model ECOVEIL - Sustainable Nonwoven Veils

ECOVEIL is a new customisable range of highly porous sustainable nonwoven veils which are produced from naturally derived or recycled fibres. These materials have been specifically developed for use in advanced composite structures to improve the finish, fabrication or functionality of a component, simultaneously providing the means to demonstrate environmental responsibility without compromising on performance.
