At TFP we believe in continuous innovation, from the performance advancement of our materials to the development of complementary technologies to expand our portfolio.

We are the experts in developing innovative nonwovens to meet specific performance, processing or aesthetic requirements. We recognise that in many cases a standard nonwoven will not suffice; potentially causing frustrating processing issues or failing to deliver the required performance. As a result, we work closely with our customers to understand their needs and develop a suitable material solution. TFP has an open and enabling approach to new product development, offering a comprehensive process that encompasses everything from initial concept development in the lab, to material testing, scale up on our pilot line facility and progression to full scale manufacture. All of which is led by our experienced team of materials scientists and operatives.

TFP’s continuous innovation is demonstrated by our ongoing investment in research activities. Our dedicated Technology team is involved in a number of collaborations with leading academic institutions and high profile industrial partners in areas such as aerospace, energy, defence and composite manufacture. The projects operate at a number of TRL levels, with topics ranging from the development of products for next generation technologies to an increased understanding of the properties and performance of our nonwovens.

Our commitment to quality is typified by the advanced control systems on our production machines. These include high resolution fault detection systems, which carry out continuous checks, assessing the quality of every square metre of our Optiveil® & Optimat® materials to a resolution as precise as 1µm. This augments the existing continuous measurement of areal weight and the combined online systems ensure the quality & consistency of our materials.

TFP is accredited to the AS 9100 (EN 9100:2018) Aerospace Quality and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards, these extend across all stages of the process; ranging from product development to nonwoven manufacturing and post-production processing. The accreditations, coupled with our knowledge and expertise, provide our customers with the assurance of high quality nonwovens designed to meet specific performance requirements.

Our TECNOFIRE® fire protection materials deliver the required fire protection to composites without the toxicity, structural compromises or time consuming application associated with alternative technologies like additives or paints.
