Metering Data Transceivers (MDTs)
Tehama Wireless - Model Pulse MDT - Metering Data Transceiver
The Pulse MDT records data from meters that generate a pulse output and transmits the totalizer data via radio towards the DCAP every hour. It is compatible with nearly all water, gas and electric utility meters that use a reed switch or a piezoelectric pulse generator. The MDT is available either with a single pulse input for single meter usage or dual inputs for co-located hot and cold water meters or other two-meter combinations.
Tehama Wireless - Model Encoder MDT - Metering Data Transceiver
The Range Encoder MDT has a true encoder interface that directly reads the meter face value of encoded meters to transmit an absolute reading towards the DCAP every hour. It auto-detects the data format between Sensus meters, Sensus compatible meters (Master-Meter, Badger, etc.), and Neptune meters. The MDT is available either with a single encoded input for single meter usage or dual encoded inputs for co-located hot and cold water meters. A special Pulse + Encoder Dual MDT is also available.
Repeaters
Tehama Wireless - Diversity Repeater
The updated Tehama Wireless Diversity Repeater extends the range of the AMR network by implementing a redundant mesh network to transport remote MDT data to the DCAP. Many repeaters can be used to fully cover the largest sites. As with the MDT, two way communication guarantees successful transmissions of data toward the DCAP.
Data Concentrating Access Points (DCAPs)
Tehama Wireless - Model DCAP - Data Concentrating Access Points
The DCAP is at the heart of the Tehama Wireless AMR system. The DCAP incorporates a powerful embedded computer and comprehensive database, along with an integrated radio transceiver to communicate with each and every meter node. The database stores all site information so everything about the property is contained in one central location. In operation, the DCAP collects and stores meter readings from the various MDTs in the network, with historical data available instantly for over a year at most property sizes. Our CIT software provides an easy user interface for configuring the DCAP and monitoring each unit, including including setting alarm thresholds which trigger automatic email alerts sent from the DCAP when alarm conditions are detected.
