Experience

The AGI leadership team has worked in the precision ag space for close to 15 years. We’ve seen it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And we have the accomplishments as well as the bumps and bruises to prove it. We value our history because it is a key part of shaping our identity and it helps guide us through each and every project.

Agile

Our project teams are nimble because of their size and use of the agile development process (or our version of it). That means we pivot quickly and adapt to your needs. It means we rapidly respond to market shifts so your business can leverage new opportunities and avoid new pitfalls.

Unlike hardware engineering, web application projects are inherently moving targets. You don’t have the luxury of planning for months and building the product for years prior to releasing it to the marketplace. Traditional software development companies follow a process where you don’t see the completed software until the very end of the project. With web applications, this is impossible because you simply don’t have all the answers when starting a project so constant feedback and updates are essential along the way.

At AGI, we believe that client involvement and open, transparent communication is key. To accomplish this, our client’s team and our team move as a single, collaborative team. Clients are involved in the process every step of the way to ensure that the application is meeting their needs.

Development is iterative and incremental with small, measurable 2-4 week milestones throughout the project. The collective team meets regularly after each milestone (iteration) and the developers demonstrate his or her work. The goal is to get the end users testing the app features as soon as possible in order to get early feedback. And then the entire team is encouraged to discuss and refine the design and features.

We have found that this process provides the optimal atmosphere for successful product releases where the collective team, including our client’s end users, is happy with the results.
