Chlorination is widely used for water disinfection. as a common practice. from all Water Works in Greece and all over the world. For the application is used commercial sodium hypochlorite (commercial bleach). which is a liquid and therefore the addition in the water stream is easy. mainly automatic.

Water filtration is, maybe, the most common water treatment, used to remove the suspended solids or other substances.

Butterfly valves can be delivered with elastomer sealing, for pressure up to 25 bar and temperature up to 160 °C. This type of valve has very good water/air tightness as well as very good ability of flow control.

Non return valves are used to allow the flow only in one direction. There are several types,like swing check, spring loaded or not, flow check or disk check, diameter from DN40 up to DN300, static pressure up to 16 bar.

TEMAK can offer knife/gate valves, for use at waste water networks, or for water with high concentration of suspended solids, pulp or powders. Installation and piping connection is `wafer` or `lugged` type. The operation of the valve can be manual or automatic by means of pneumatic or electric actuator.

Hygienic valves are used mainly in pharmaceutics, where special specifications are applied. TEMAK can offer special hygienic valves, according to even strict specificatins.

Steam valves are used in order to control the flow (On-Off) in steam pipe networks. TEMAK can offer type seat-valve, flanged or threaded, with stainless φυσούνα (maintenance free) or without φυσούνα, with position indicator. Maximum temperature 350 οC and pressure 17,5 bar.

TEMAK can offer complete production range of any kind of pneumatic actuator for the automatic operation of valves. Pneumatic actuators can be double acting or single acting, operated by means of suitable spring, leaving the valve `normally closed` or `normally open`. Each pneumatic actuator can be equiped with solenoid pilot valve and limit switches as well.
