Tensar TriAx geogrid products have helped contractors and pavement engineers around the world stabilize soft soils and optimize pavement designs to get longer service life for their budget. Its multi-directional properties leverage triangular geometry, one of construction`s most stable shapes, to provide greater stability and stiffness. Its ability to efficiently confine aggregate reduces installation costs while improving the overall performance of the structure.

When stabilizing paved or unpaved structures, engineers and contractors must not only consider the appropriate geogrid product and thickness of granular fill, but also whether adequate filtration and separation of dissimilar materials will be maintained throughout the life of the structure.

Tensar Uniaxial geogrids can carry high tensile loads applied in one direction (along the roll length). Their open aperture structure interlocks with fill material to provide superior load transfer from the soil to the geogrid. Tensar`s HDPE geogrids achieve their strength by punching and drawing a homogenous polymer sheet to provide a uniform, consistent product that does not require weaving, coating, or welding to maintain the product`s integrity. This unique process provides superior junction strength, allowing high-strength connections to other geogrid rolls or facing components.

Conventional tack coats present a variety of challenges, including difficulty achieving uniform coverage, weather-dependent curing time, and keeping it off clean surfaces. The GlasGrid® TF (Tack Film) system provides all the benefits of GlasGrid product, but without the challenges of having to apply a conventional tack coat. With a pre-installed layer of polymer tack film, the GlasGrid TF system performs even better than the original GlasGrid system, protecting against reflective cracking while it bonds to asphalt overlays.
