Earthquakes - background knowledge and safety. Earthquakes close to Lombok and Sulawesi have reminded us that the region including Bali is same endangered to earthquakes as all other regions in Indonesia located close to a subduction zone and linked fault zones. There is little reason for panic but even less reason to ignore it. A long time of little earthquake activity on a definitely endangered zone does not mean to be safe but should be at least a reason for precautions.
