Geotechnical Engineering

TesTech`s Geotechnical Engineers and Project Managers work closely with Owners, Architects and Engineers to develop an appropriate investigation program based upon the proposed project. TesTech uses its own fleet of truck-mounted and all-terrain vehicle mounted drill rigs to complete all geotechnical investigations. Always sensitive to the requirements of the project team, our recommendations are based upon the most economically practical engineering evaluations for the intended construction.

Environmental Services

TesTech`s environmental team is capable of providing a wide array of technical services and experience in handling various environmental issues and challenges confronted during both the project`s development and construction phases. TesTech employs qualified, and experienced environmental specialists to perform all environmental investigations to their furthest extent. Our personnel are certified, accredited, or qualified by the following organizations: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. National Environmental Health Assoc. MI Department of Environmental Quality. OH, MI, and IN Licensed Asbestos Inspector and Risk Assessor. OH and MI Licensed Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor. ODOT prequalified in Phase I & II ESA, Ecologogical Surveys and Wetland Mitigation. IN Licensed Lead Inspector.

Ecological Services

TesTech is one of the only consulting firms in the area that has an entire departmental staff devoted solely to servicing wetland and ecological issues, which is why TesTech has performed more mitigation projects than any other firm in Ohio. In addition, TesTech employs professionally trained staff in the delineation and wetland creation practices and standards utilized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. TesTech conducts waters determinations in accordance with Army Corps of Engineers federal regulations and applicable state and local jurisdictions. Waters determinations include a site reconnaissance by a wetland specialist, wetland delineation, stream evaluation, and submission of information to the regulatory authorities. The determination results in a jurisdictional determination (JD) concurrence letter required for site development permitting. When necessary, TesTech also obtains water quality permits pursuant to the Clean Water Act of 1972 (e.g.. Section 401 and 404 water quality permits). Additionally, TesTech is experienced in performing wetland mitigation, including creation, restoration, and monitoring.

Construction Testing and Inspection

The key to a successful quality control program for Construction Inspection begins with a project team assigned to Quality Control (QC) services. TesTech engineers, inspectors and technicians are not only experienced in inspection of construction sites but also in construction field testing services. Our staff includes professional engineers, certified welding inspectors, ACI concrete technicians, DOT certified technicians, NICET certified technicians, and certified nuclear gauge operators.

Independent Testing Laboratory

TesTech certified laboratory technicians and geologists have the sponsorship of in-house professional registered engineers at all times. Our laboratory, at a minimum, meets the requirements of the following: Current Certifying Agencies: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). American Association of State Highway &  Transportation Officials (AASHTO) CCRL & AMRL. Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Soils & Aggregate Quarry Prequals, Geotechnical Services.

Survey Services

Success of a project begins with accurate information gathered during field investigation. TesTech`s technological edge combined with continual education and certification of our team members provides each client with the level of service and accuracy they expect. Our professional land surveyors utilize the latest technology in survey equipment to supply surveys for TesTech projects as well as for clients requiring those services independently.

Transportation Services

TesTech is DBE (UCP) certified with the Indiana and Michigan Departments of Transportation as a geotechnical engineering firm testing laboratory and environmental consultant. All surveying services are performed in accordance with FAA, ODOT, INDOT and MDOT roadway standards.
