Fathom Tanks provide above-ground, climate controlled production sets that allow for easy camera access. Designed by a former Navy Diver and former film producer who spent more than a decade working in the entertainment industry. Our tanks give you full control over water temperature, current, and flow. They can be rented by the week or purchased and assembled at your preferred location. From commercial productions to feature films, our water tanks allow you to get the complex underwater shots you need in a safe, controlled environment.

Fathom Tanks can be used for a wide range of underwater research projects, from underwater robotics to sub-system physical testing. These above-ground, indoor water tanks can be heated and adjusted for water level, current, flow, and depth. Colleges and universities across the country have used Fathom Tanks to simulate deep sea environments and other subsurface experiences for research and training purposes. Fathom’s underwater tanks can be modified to simulate a zero-gravity environment for astronaut training. Our above-ground, cylindrical neutral buoyancy tanks are able to attach replicate spacecraft for added realism for extravehicular activities (space-walking).
