The SeaWatch system consists of an autonomous electronic surveillance package mounted on an autonomous surface vessel. Its purpose is to provide a long dwell maritime capability to detect electronic emissions related to illicit maritime activity.

Synthetic aperture sonar for understanding what goes on beneath the waves. Developed in the 1950s, synthetic aperture radar mounted on reconnaissance aircraft provided the U.S. Military with imagery that was stunning in its detail. Twenty years later, this concept was applied to a new generation of space-based platforms capable of monitoring the Earth from hundreds of miles away with a level of precision down to less than one meter. Today, we are applying an analogous technology -- synthetic aperture sonar -- to revolutionize our understanding of the sea floor.

SeaPicket is energy-harvesting, autonomous, long-dwell (up to six years), persistent surveillance platform integrating acoustic, radar/EW, video and AIS sensors. The resulting maritime database will then employ artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive analytics to port security organizations and field commanders, providing unsurpassed domain awareness around ships transiting in and out of US seaports.
