Classroom Courses - CHSG

CHSG - UKATA Asbestos Awareness Course

Asbestos-related diseases currently accounts for some 5000 deaths in the UK each year. Construction personnel are now the group at highest risk when they work in existing buildings, which may still contain asbestos containing materials.

CHSG - COSHH Awareness Course

This half day COSHH course covers both theoretical and practical training. This includes how to assess and undertake a COSHH risk assessment whilst taking into account all of the other documentation and information available.

CHSG - Formwork and Falsework Appreciation Course

This course is intended to be a technical qualification on Falsework and Formwork and provides a more extensive understanding of the subject for those supervising, inspecting and managing these products and structures. It will also provide a more in-depth understanding of Temporary Works. The course is designed for Project Managers, Site Engineers, Designers, Formwork and Falsework suppliers and all Safety Professionals.

CHSG - Scaffold Inspection One Day Course

The one day Scaffold Inspection course is designed for Site Managers, Agents, Foreman, Supervisors, Health and Safety Professionals and any person who is required to inspect scaffolding to ensure safety, including working at height and TG20:21. This course will provide a working knowledge of the legal requirements for scaffolding as part of delegate’s overall competency for this site activity.

Classroom Courses - Fire

CHSG - Diploma in Construction Fire Safety & Fire Risk Management Course

The Diploma course has been recognised by the IFSM, the IFE have confirmed it as a Recognised Educational Programme and the SQA have confirmed that it meets the academic qualification of Diploma level 10 with 50 credit points. CHSG is also an Approved Centre for the IFSM.

CHSG - Construction Fire Risk Assessment Course

The Construction Fire Risk Assessment Course has been recognised by the IFSM and the SQA have confirmed that it meets the SCQF academic level 7 with 5 credit points. CHSG is also an Approved Centre for the IFSM.

Remote Courses - Remote CHSG

CHSG - Remote Formwork and Falsework Appreciation Course

This course is intended to be a general introduction to Falsework and Formwork. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the subject for those supervising, inspecting and managing these products and structures.

CHSG - Remote Scaffolding TG20 and Beyond Course

This course accommodates the changes present in TG20:21. This one-day course is part of our suite of scaffold inspection courses, entitled “TG20 and Beyond”. It is intended for those who have the duty to sign handover certificates for designed scaffolds, such as Temporary Works Co-ordinators, Scaffold Designer, Contracts and Project Manager, Engineer, Site Agent or Manager, or Health and Safety Manager (further information reference BS5975 Temporary Works Procedure). It is particularly relevant to those who have passed the CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection course and now wish to have a deeper knowledge.

CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection Couses

This three day Basic Scaffold Inspection Course is aimed at anyone who is responsible for carrying out statutory inspections on basic scaffold structures in accordance with the Work at Height Regulation 2005. This course is quickly becoming established as the qualification expected for those with any supervisory responsibility for scaffold structures.  The content of this course will use TG20:21 as a basis to cover many aspects of the course. In order to attend this course CISRS will require delegates to have awareness and experience of scaffolding structures and will be required to supply the following pre-requisites as detailed below.
