Vapor and Flame Solutions - Pressure and Vacuum Relief Vents
Protectoseal - Model FAB Valve Series - Pressure/Vacuum Conservation Vent
The Protectoseal FAB Valve Series serves as both a Pressure and Vacuum Conservation Vent and a Deflagration Flame Arrester. The conservation vent provides dependable protection against excessive pressure/vacuum and minimizes vapor loss. The flame arrester provides additional protection against atmospheric deflagration.
Protectoseal - Model 830 Series - Pressure / Vacuum Conservation Vent with Flame Arrester
Protectoseal Series 830, Pressure / Vacuum Conservation Vent with Flame Arrester is designed to prevent costly evaporation losses, tank rupture due to over-pressure, and collapse due to vacuum. The flame arrester protects tank against fire and explosion caused by exterior sources of ignition. Pallets in the vent housing minimize air and vapor loss as the tank “breathes”. They open and close just enough to maintain safe working pressures and avoid damage to the tank. The flame arrester element is mounted externally and is only exposed to vapors when venting.
Protectoseal - Model 830E - Pressure / Vacuum Conservation Vent with Flame Arrester
Protectoseal Series 830E, Pressure / Vacuum Conservation Vent with Flame Arrester is designed to prevent costly evaporation losses, tank rupture due to over-pressure, and collapse due to vacuum.
Protectoseal - Model 3908-SL - Tank Pressure & Vacuum Relief Thief Hatch
Pressure & Vacuum Relief Thief Hatch provides ready access to the tank interior for inspection, gauging or sampling operations. The unit also provides pressure and vacuum relief of the tank’s vapor space through integral, spring-loaded pressure and vacuum relief mechanisms. Valves open and close to permit only that intake or outlet relief necessary to keep interior pressure within permissible working limits.
Vapor and Flame Solutions - Emergency Relief Vents
Protectoseal - Model 7800 - Emergency Pressure Vent
Protectoseal Series 7800 Emergency Pressure Vent is designed to provide emergency relief capacity beyond that furnished by the operating vent on tanks. Under normal operating conditions, the vent pallet assembly is closed providing an effective vapor seal. In the event of an emergency (fire involvement of the tank), the pallet lifts in response to the increased pressure in the tank’s vapor space. Vapor is expelled, thereby protecting the tank from dangerous over-pressurization. Pallet assembly automatically closes and reseals when the pressure is reduced.
Protectoseal - Model 51700 - Hinged Emergency Pressure Relief Manhole Cover Vent
Protectoseal Series 51700 Hinged Emergency Pressure Relief Vent provides emergency pressure relief when installed on the manhole opening of the storage tank. In emergency situations (fire involvement of the tank) the unit is designed to open on its hinge and provide pressure relief beyond the capacity of the normal breather vents. The hinged design allows the use of a lever principal counterweight so that the pressure settings higher than those available on other dead weight loaded vents of similar size may be achieved. The design also allows convenient access through the manhole opening for tank inspection and maintenance.
Protectoseal - Model 52600 - Emergency Pressure and Vacuum Relief Vent for Storage Tanks
Emergency Pressure and Vacuum Relief Vents provide emergency relief when installed on the manhole opening of a storage tank. In emergency situations (external fire involvement of the tank), normal venting devices may be too small to prevent over-pressurization of the tank. The device provides the necessary pressure relief capacity to maintain the tank in a safe operating range. Spring-loaded vacuum pallet assembly allows flow of make-up air into tank’s vapor space to relieve negative pressure.
Vapor and Flame Solutions - Flame Arresters - End-of-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
Protectoseal - Model AVC - End-of-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
The Protectoseal AVC Series End-of-Line Flame Arresters are designed to be installed at the end of a pipeline or exit vent from a vessel to provide protection against atmospheric deflagrations. Vapors are allowed to escape into the atmosphere and air can be drawn into the tank through the E-Flow enhanced crimped ribbon arresting element. If an ignition source outside the tank (unconfined deflagration) is encountered, the flame arrester provides protection for the tank’s vapor space.
Protectoseal - Model EHB - End-of-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
The Protectoseal EVB Series End-of-Line Flame Arresters are designed to be installed at the end of a pipeline or exit vent from a vessel to provide protection against atmospheric deflagrations. Vapors are allowed to escape into the atmosphere and air can be drawn into the tank through the E-Flow enhanced crimped ribbon arresting element. If an ignition source outside the tank (unconfined deflagration) is encountered, the flame arrester provides protection for the tank’s vapor space.
Vapor and Flame Solutions - Flame Arresters - Vent-Line / In-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
Protectoseal - Model LCA Series - In-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
The Protectoseal LCA Series of In-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters is designed to prevent the propagation of flames in piping systems. Flames (or an explosion) are confined to the immediate area by positioning one of our flame arresters near the potential source of ignition. The LCA Series incorporates crimped-ribbon technology in the flame arrester element, the metal matrix of which has been optimized utilizing our in-house CFD capability to ensure industry-leading flow vs pressure drop characteristics.
