Leak Detection And Repair - LDAR - Fugitive Emissions Management
The Sniffers offers you a traditional LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) program, which is compliant to the international standard EPA method 21 and local regulations. In addition, the Sniffers can offer you a smart LDAR program, which is a very effective combination of traditional LDAR and quick scanning with infrared cameras to guarantee qualitative monitoring of (very) large leakages.
Smart LDAR or Optical Gas Imaging
The Sniffers uses infrared cameras for optical gas imaging. It is the only way to monitor leaks in inaccessible areas or storage tanks. The use of infrared cameras enables the quick scanning of large emission leaks in a cost-effective way. Our contact-free optical gas imaging equipment is perfect for managing leaks on process environment and guarantees a high level of safety during plant startup and shutdown. Most importantly, the remote approach reduces health risks during measurements. Optical gas imaging can be used as a standalone service or can be integrated in existing LDAR programs as so-called `Smart LDAR` programs.
Storage Tank Emissions Management
In an environment of increased storage capacity, ageing assets and increasing safety and environmental regulations, tank farm operators demand a clear view of the emissions of their storage tanks with fixed roofs, external or internal floating roofs or gas spheres, sometimes combined with Vapor Recovery Units. We combine different techniques such as Optical Gas Imaging, PID or FID sniffing or accurate quantification with bagging or High Flow Sampling, to determine a complete emission picture of the storage tank installation. We have 28 years of international experience in monitoring, mapping and managing emissions coming from different kinds of storage tanks. Our measurements are fully compliant with the terminal’s safety regulations or (future) governmental guidelines and protocols.
