TheGreenSpec - Optical Fibre Connecting All Greenspec Elements To The Central Computer

Greenspec introduces an innovative approach to greenhouse connectivity with its selection of Kevlar-coated optical fibre products. Designed to replace traditional copper cables, these optical fibres ensure secure and uninterrupted data transmission. Unlike copper cables, the fibre optic lines provide lightning protection as they are non-electric, which reduces the risk of damage from electrical discharges. The fibre cable supports bidirectional communication for added reliability in data transmission. A single cable interface, which connects to Greenspec’s Opto AFP Board, simplifies installations and maintenance. The cables can cover expanses up to 120 meters in standard rolls of 500 meters. The potential for easy adjustment at the installation site is achieved with special cutting tools and hand-fitted connections, allowing for quick implementation. Furthermore, the Kevlar fibers enhance durability and eliminate the need for protective tubing, significantly lowering installation costs.

TheGreenSpec - Greenspec pH Sensor

The pH sensor is a conventional sensor, we just added a good electronic unit. This will then convert the signal to a 4-20 mA signal. We offer two types of mounting holders: to glue or to screw on. Normally you only have to calibrate every 6 months, the lifetime of the sensor is 1 year. (Together with the CO2 sensor this is one of only two sensors that have to be replaced frequently). After that you replace only the sensor part. You put it in the holder and then you can easily fix it to the electronics with the special connector. Recalibrate after replacing!
