ThermalTech’s reputation for designing high-performance buildings and energy systems is based on a culture of innovation and attention to detail. We have developed a design approach we call ThermalTech High-Performance Buildings™ that is incorporated into every project.

A common practice in our industry is to defer the majority of the control system design to the control contractors. They tend to apply `canned` or `one-size-fits-all` algorithms without much regard to your individual system and performance needs. We have an active controls engineering group developing solutions using hardware and software from companies such as Rockwell, Inductive Automation, ProSoft, and others. As well, we are a participant in the Rockwell System Integrator program.

Arc Flash is an intense release of energy due to an arcing fault between phases or phase to ground in a an electrical system. This energy release includes light, heat shrapnel and pressure waves which can cause severe burns, hearing damage and even death.  Some common causes or arch flash events are tools shorting phase conductors, breaks or gaps in insulation, dust and other impurities on the surface conductors and equipment failure.

ThermalTech employs and develops experts in CAD software and 3D design. ThermalTech`s dedication to new technology and design has made ThermalTech a leader in 3D design of mechanical, piping, and electrical systems. Our project design experience spans process and non-process CHW systems, fines collections systems, steam and condensate systems, desiccant drier systems, plumbing systems and HVAC systems. ThermalTech has 3D Design experience working in a variety of facilities ranging from food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industrial plants, universities, and hospitals. ThermalTech was 3D before 3D was mainstream. While other firms are learning how to use their software, we`re perfecting ours.

ThermalTech has performed over 750 energy audits in all types of buildings across the country.  Our energy audit history began in 1980 with Federal Title III audits in office buildings, colleges and universities throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.  Since those early days we developed, incorporated and improved our energy auditing capabilities and tools.  Now we combine our specialized ECM (Energy Conservation Measure) Screening Tool with other available DOE and vendor programs to give our clients the best value for their money.
