Thermcraft - Bench Top and Floor Stand Box Furnaces
Floor Stand: This Floor Stand Box Furnace has a double pivoting hinged door that keeps the high temperature interior face of the door away from the operator for safety. This type of box furnace is typically designed for industrial use, but can be used in an R&D or laboratory environment as well.

Thermcraft - High Temperature Split Tube Furnace
Thermcraft’s Hinged High Temperature Split Tube Furnaces are for applications that need temperatures up to 1530°C (2800°F). We can customize our tube furnaces to be single zone or multiple zone configurations, and design them for vertical or horizontal operation. The furnace pictured has (SiC) silicone carbide heating elements. Higher temperature furnaces can be designed with (MoSi2) molybdenum disilicide heating elements and insulation rated for temperatures up to 1700°C (3092°F).
Thermcraft - Hinged Split Tube Furnace
The Hinged Split Tube Furnace shown here is available with I.D.’s ranging from 0.75” to 36”, and almost any length. They can be designed with single zone or multi zone configurations and maximum operating temperatures of up to 1200°C (2200°F).

Thermcraft - Adjustable Shelf Recirculating Oven
Large-scale with a low factory footprint, Thermcraft’s Adjustable Shelf Recirculating Oven combines an expansive heating chamber with minimal workshop invasiveness. Custom designed for a specialist application, the Adjustable Shelf Recirculating Oven featured shelves that could be vertically adjusted depending on the load configuration. It required no extensive ducting nor connection to existing ventilation systems due to its integrated recirculation filter. Air was drawn out of the chamber through a filter and purified before being pumped back into the working environment safely.
Thermcraft - Ashing Box Furnace with Integrated Control System (1100°C)
The XSB ashing furnaces are designed to provide ideal conditions for complete combustion of test samples. They have a hinged vertical lift door that keeps the hot door insulation always facing away from the operator. A door safety switch interrupts power to the heating elements when the door is opened. These furnaces use wound wire heating elements that are protected by hard ceramic plates. The furnace chamber, heating elements, hearth plate and chamber threshold are designed to be easily replaced if they become worn out. An air gap between the heated chamber exterior and furnace exterior surface is designed to minimize the external surface temperature of the furnace.
Thermcraft - Ashing Furnaces
ASTM D874 is the standard test method for sulfated ash from lubricating oils and the additives they contain. The sulfated ash is measured as it can be used to indicate the concentration of known metal-containing additives in new oils. These additives often contain one or more of the following metals: tin, sodium, potassium, zinc, magnesium, calcium, and barium. When phosphorus is absent these metals are converted to their sulfates or oxides. This test method is applied to sulfated ash levels below 0.02 mass% but it is restricted to oils containing ashless additives. 0.005 mass% sulfated ash is the lower limit of the test method.

Protégé - Compact Split Tube Furnace
The Protégé XST split tube furnace has a compact, lightweight, space saving design. This model is an excellent choice to begin thermal processing in a laboratory environment. The hinged body which is split along its length allows for easy process tube changes and simple installation of process tubes with end seals attached. The Protégé has Fibercraft™ vacuum formed ceramic fiber heating elements with free radiating wire embedded into the body of the heater and tube adapters integrated into the ends. Excellent temperature uniformity and a programmable control system make the Protégé a valuable addition to any lab.
