Specialty Environmental Chamber
Sun Enclosures
Designed to simulate the effects of blinding hot sunlight on products and materials, Thermotron`s Sunload Enclosures use solar heat load rather than lamps to test automotive components and subassemblies. This chamber has been successfully used to test automotive components such as dashboards, steering wheels, plastics and fabrics and can easily be adapted for use in the materials, fabrics and plastics industries.
Custom Environmental Test Chambers
Thermotron has many test systems to offer, but perhaps none of them seem to fit your needs exactly. Maybe your product requires a special combination of testing capabilities or exceeds the size of the standard equipment we offer. Should this be the case, rest assured that Thermotron will gladly design a custom test facility to meet your testing needs.
Thermotron - Remote Conditioners
Remote Conditioners from Thermotron provide a useful approach for testing awkwardly large or hard to reach products. Designed to provide flexibility in remotely conditioning products, Thermotron’s Remote Conditioners are the perfect solution for the unique testing requirements of a variety of industries. Thermotron Remote Conditioner test solutions are available in several configurations to best fit your needs. Our dual-purpose Remote Conditioners are designed to either deliver temperature-conditioned air to remote sites or operate as a completely independent, self-contained temperature chamber or combined with an SE-Series Environmental Chamber for and/or humidity chamber.
Thermotron - Sand & Dust Chambers
Designed to test a product’s resistance to extremely dusty, desert-like environments, Thermotron’s Sand and Dust Climatic Chamber meets automotive and other test specifications. Powerful blowers intermittently blow compressed air up through finely powdered sand and dust and then allow the sand and dust to settle back down covering the product. This Specialty Climatic Chamber is built in a chest configuration. Products under test are lowered into the climatic chamber’s workspace and placed on an adjustable stainless steel shelf that can hold up to 100 pounds of product.
Thermotron - Refrigeration Training Chamber
The most effective way to help a student learn about refrigeration is through hands-on experience. Skill retention and efficiency improve when they are practiced and applied in a setting that simulates real work experience. In cooperation with a local vocational program, Thermotron developed the Refrigeration Training Chamber. The self-contained refrigeration training system allows students to build functional refrigeration and heating systems in a classroom environment. Instructors have the ability to inject failures or faults into the training chamber so the students can troubleshoot and repair the equipment on their own.
Thermotron - Moisture & Rain Test Chamber
Designed to simulate a soaking, rainy environment, Thermotron’s Moisture Test Chambers are built with the water-tightness of sealed components such as head lamps, tail lights, and wiring harnesses making them ideal for conducting a water spray test. The Rain Test Chamber features a self-contained water recirculation system that eliminates the cost and inconvenience of plumbing in a facility water supply. Water is injected into the test enclosure through specifically-sized nozzles. Flow meters with adjustment valves supply the water spray at specified flow parameters. A rotating test platform can be incorporated in the Water Spray Test Chamber to promote even moisture distribution over the surface of the products under test.
Thermotron - Automated Corrosion Test Chamber
Thermotron’s Automated Corrosion Test Chambers combine the capabilities of a temperature humidity chamber and a salt spray chamber. Corrosion Chambers eliminate the need to manually transfer products from one environmental chamber to another.
Thermotron - Model CDS-5 - Cytogenetic Drying Chamber
Developed in cooperation with Mayo Clinic, Thermotron’s Cytogenetic Drying Chamber—the CDS-5—is an environmental chamber designed for conducting cytogenetic slide drying tests during harvest of in situ and non-in situ cell samples. The CDS-5 provides the optimum controlled temperature and humidity environment required to achieve ideal chromosome spreading results.
