The TCC (Thermo Mechanical Cutting Cleaner) converts kinetic energy to thermal energy in a thermal desorption process that efficiently separates and recovers the components of drilling waste whilst preserving the original quality of the components prior to treatment. As a result the recovered base oil can for example be re-used in new Oil Based Mud (OBM) or as fuel for diesel engines, whilst the cleaned solids have various industrial uses, such as a substitute for chalk in asphalt.

The TMD (Thermo Mechanical Dryer) is a thermo-mechanical dryer for treatment of “difficult to dry” or "sticky" materials. The TMD process is patented and has shown excellent results on materials with sticky behaviour during drying. In the TMD the heat required for the evaporation is generated directly in the material by a high-speed rotor. This dryer is excellent on most types of material, but truly unique on material that is perceived as sticky or “glue-like”.

For new materials and application areas Thermtech offers small scale testing at the R&D facillity at Mongstad outside Bergen, Norway. The test unit has a flexible configuration and can easily be adapted to meet customer requirements.
