Demountable waste compactors are machines which offer a solution to the need for temporary on-site waste management systems across a wide spectrum of industries.

The THETFORD model Portapacker 14 portable compactor with it’s Enclosed Hopper with double loading doors, available as Single or Three Phase, single cylinder and also as three Phase Twin Cylinder units.  These portapackers are integral units incorporating the container and compaction unit, its modern and strengthened design make it suitable for any industry where liquid is produced, such as restaurants and hotels, the discharge door is fitted with rubber ‘D’ seals to eliminate leakage making this unit a fully sealed leakproof compactor.  They are loaded through the double opening doors, which cannot be opened during operation of the compactor. Start/stop buttons and unit full light are positioned just above the loading door to benefit the operator and for safety this compactor will not operate unless the loading doors are closed and securely fastened.

The THETFORD model Portapacker 14S skip type / rolon-off compactor available in the options of either Single or Three Phase units, these units can be sited easily in a required area and has the advantage of being an integral compactor and container unit with a very large 1400W” x 1070L” load opening.  The machine can have an open topped loading area or additionally be fitted with a Boss/Comb Lift Loader (maximum limit 200kg), to handle 660 litre or smaller sizes of Euro Flat Top Lidded carts.  Again this compactor is popular within any industry where waste is found to contain excessive liquid content thus fitted with rubber ‘D’ seals to the discharge doors to eliminate leakage making this unit a fully sealed leakproof compactor with or without Loader.  NOTE:  If this unit is to be used with skip type vehicles they need to have telescopic arms.

The THETFORD Power Plus compactors range are a robustly long standing Thetford built compactors and starts at the model size T1 and progresses to the model T2 and T3.  These compactors are designed to accommodate the complete range of power options of 7.5kw (10HP), 11kw (15HP), 15kw (20HP) and 22kw (30HP), with thrust from 125mm (5”), 150mm (6”) or 180mm (7”) Cylinders. 

The THETFORD T2 Super Short compactor can be supplied with any type of hopper or chute, with side/rear loader bin attachments, or to suit any specific requirements, left or right hand loading, off dock and through wall applications. 

A THETFORD Rear Bin Lifter attachment enables carts or containers to be picked up from ground level, or a loading dock, and inverted to discharge their contents into a compactor hopper.  The loader includes a hopper and anti scatter mesh. The lifting frame may vary in design according to the shape and size of the carts being handled. Most types of open and lidded carts, up to a 2yd³ capacity, can be accommodated. The hydraulic lifting arm is powered by the hydraulic system in the Compactor and is controlled by electric push buttons or an operating lever situated at the side of the compactor. Safety screens & interlocked gates are provided for the protection of personnel.

Free standing loaders are industrial machines which allow bins, small carts or containers to be picked up from ground or any dock level and inverted to discharge their contents into waste disposal containers or compactors. Using these efficient waste management systems on-site mean a business can save money in outlays for outsourced disposal methods. The lifting frames of loaders may vary in design according to requirements. Most sizes of both open and lidded carts from 120-litre to 1350-litre capacity can be accommodated. Safety screens and interlocked gates are provided for the protection of personnel.
